Here we go, with another in the Happenings series about this year’s Request Hour. This time we have Yuihan and Yukirin.

This is for you obviously Will, I know it’s not a full story but it requires way more to write a full story on a whim. I usually have dreams, then thinks about a story for days before I am psyched enough to write it. So I hope you will accept this little thing. Any way, forward we go…

You and the girls are having a break from the rehearsals for tonight’s Team B performances. It’s the last day of the first half of Request Hour. You sit there among the other fellow team members listening to Captain Mocchi’s suggestions, absent mindly sipping on your tasteless water.

That’s only pretence though, for your attention is somewhere else. She is oblivious to your invasive eyes and in fact, you might as well be in a different room as far as she’s concerned. She is doing what Mocchi is doing but to a different team. Team K have the stage currently and you sit there watching, trying very hard not to show how charmed you are by her change and the way she handles what is and always has been the most challenging team to lead.

She seems so natural at it and so sure with herself that you find yourself wishing, just for a moment, that you were standing up there with Team K so as to have a chance to get her passionate eyes sweep over yours. But of course at this moment you know that you are not even on her mind.

This doesn’t bother you though. Not at all. All the attention you can spare from her is to your thoughts. You think of her. Thoughts that Idols shouldn’t have. Most especially not you. You, the one given the title of The Idol Amongst Idols.

But do you care about that? Not at the moment, you don’t. After all, what they don’t know can’t hurt them, right? Besides, with their own songs like Oshibe to Meshibe forcing them to kiss right in front of the fans, fans who like watching them kiss too, you don’t believe that you can be in any kind of trouble. Well, where they, the Ones up there that is, are concerned.

But you are not sure about her. Despite the front everyone puts on seemingly all okay with being intimately close with others, things never got serious. Everyone is scared to cross the boundaries between fantasy and reality. But despite the insecurity, somehow with her you have a feeling of deep rooted confidence to go ahead and test the limits. You have been thinking about kissing her. Why should you speculate when you can just do it? If anything goes wrong you can always say it was a dare of some sort. So you make up your mind.

Your chance hits the moment Team A takes and you seize it. You excuse yourself from Mayuyu that sits besides you after Mocchi is done speaking and you are freed. You make your way silently towards where Team K is chilling. Other members watch you with curiosity and interest as you get closer and by them to get to her. She does not see you coming. Her broad and powerful back is facing you as she dramatically rehydrates. You place a hand on her shoulder startling her in the process. She turns around and seems really surprised to see you. You even hear it in her voice as she says your name. Somehow that makes you happy.

“Ne Yuihan, do you have a moment?”
