The cards are all laid out on the table! I am not wishfully shipping Kumiko and Reina! You are telling me to ship with all my might KyoAni and I am shipping with everything that I am! So if you mess this up, if you dare mess with me I swear to Homucifer we are so done! No matter what project you take on next, be it the complete works of Shizuru Hayashiya or the complete volumes of YuriHime, I will never ever watch anything from you ever again! If you mess this up there is no telling what you might do to our precious 100% yuri gems!

Nope! If this series gets the Midori treatment (not this Midori, the other Midori) you are making an enemy of me! To dare even go the Red Thread route only to run us over in the end, you are digging your own grave! And so I hope you are prepared for what is to come. I sure hope you have the guts to go through with what you are promising because there will be war if you get wet feet and troll with us! You shan’t be forgiven this time KyoAni, no way José!

 
 

Here be our main girls this time around! No matter how you cut it it’s Yui (Kumiko), Mio (Reina), Ritsu (Hazuki) and Tsumugi (Sapphire/Midori) all over again! From what I have read so far of the plot, it seems the story will be centred around Kumiko and Reina’s connection primarily! That is what I have read and what the posters are telling us so believe me, I am not having mousou shipping tendencies right now!

That being said, I find it strange that the story would be about these two when from what we have seen so far, even though they were in the same Junior High and in the same club, they weren’t that close. In fact they were not even on first name basis, that Kumiko, Hazuki and Sapphire were on in the first hours of their meeting for the first time ever! In other words, their relationship so far doesn’t warrant a story about the two but apparently that is what we are getting which means that we are in for some awesome drama people!

 
 


 
 
 
I can already see Reina winning this year’s SaiMoe!

We first meet the two while still in Junior High during a competition where even though they were winners of gold, they were not chosen to go to the nationals! We are given glimpses of each character’s personality here and from that I could already see what we are in for in terms of their dynamics! While Kumiko was laid back and less interested in the results, Reina on the other hand was crying at not having been chosen to go to the nationals. Those delicious tears of Reina’s seemed to have left a great impression on Kumiko though as we see later.

Jump to High School after the OP and Kumiko just can’t stop thinking of that crying Reina from back then. Seriously, there were so many flashes of her in Kumiko’s mind that it got to the point of being cheesy ridiculous! I say it again, if KyoAni mess with us on this ship they are going down!

 
 

Then there was that first meeting of their High School Lives, well actually it wasn’t a meeting per say, rather Kumiko saw Reina for the first time since Junior High when she showed up at the Band club to join! This was like an exact reflection of the Haruhi/Yuki meeting in Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoshitsu! Just like Haruki, Reina did not see Kumiko but while the other meeting was more of a mysterious kind, this one was more of a surprise since Kumiko does know who Reina is and had Reina seen her too, she would have known Kumiko, at least I think so.

Anyway Kumiko’s reaction was both super cute and funny! I was anticipating Reina turning around at her surprised squeak but she did not because that is to be saved for later in the episode. I agree because that scene already had enough excitement what with…

 


 

Best Girl Asuka-senpai not only stealing Hazuki’s first kiss (through the glass) but also her heart! And did I mention that Asuka-senpai was best girl!?!! She is just so much fun and she really is pretty, Hazuki wasn’t lying! Is it the glasses? I know I have a thing for glasses so maybe I too am being blind! Anyway these two are also on the list. It’s because of this that I just can’t ship Hazuki and Sapphire! Then again Asuka might just be a tease and she is in fact into something with her fellow classmate and good friend who saved poor Hazuki and the girls from more Asukarassment!

 

Meanwhile back to the master ship, Kumiko still has Reina on the brains! In fact she feeds off Reina memories to the point of not needing breakfast! Don’t believe me? Watch the episode! And just when everything was looking good and I was expecting Reina to show up and reveal that she had in fact seen Kumiko in that club room and thus commences what should have been the best scene of the episode, instead we get this…

Oh no U frikkin didn’t KyoAni!!! Don’t you even dare!!! The damned childhood friend card again!!?! I swear if you dare pull a Midori on Reina or Kumiko so Homucifer help me i’ll…

 

Anyway, despite having said that she would not be joining the band, the power of Reina’s tears finally made Kumiko decide to join the club with Hazuki and Sapphire. And then came the moment I had been waiting for. Kumiko finally decides to go and meet with Reina face to face! Her awkwardness mixed in with creepiness reflect the state of my heart at that exact moment. She was like a stalker in Super Saiyan mode! She is about to say something to grab Reina’s attention…
