Noushou Sakuretsu Girl

So there is this movie that is coming out soon and the first trailer just hit! I actually saw a poster for this movie not even a week ago on twitter and I was left wondering what it was! Since that is Kashiwagi Hinata of Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku, my first thought was that this was some kind of TV24 drama! This is the first time I have seen Hinata in a project so i did not think it was a movie because usually they start out on the small screen, well, the joke is on me it seems!

From what I can see, this movie is right up in my alley! Girls, yuri and guns, what could be better! If Bee Train was into Live Action, this is the kind of project we would expect from them! The story looks interesting but also there is signs of BAD END but I am inclined to believe in a GOOD END this time around despite all the tears, the bodies falling like sheep and those taglines of doom!

In the end though, HANDS always win and that was the case here too. Hands never let me down so I am believing in this movie giving a BEST END to Hinata and Seika and speaking of Seika, that is one unusual ‘DO! I have never seen like with that kind of hairstyle but she looks total badass for some reason with that uniform and a gun in her hand. The fact that she is pointing it at Hinata though, not so great!

A Taketomi Seika movie? Sign me up! And with that, when I saw a trailer for this movie that teased at something as simple as two girls holding hands (to others it is nothing but not to yours truly) I was already sold on watching this movie!

Simply put, this movie is another death game, school horror type of movie. Third years of a certain school are called back to their school for one last time but what awaits them is not a goodbye party but rather the game of death. The rules? No one can leave the school grounds, whoever does, dies. Every given time they must sacrifice someone or by the end of that time, they all die (As one class found out)! The only other way to survive is to jump into the bottomless pit that suddenly appeared out of no where in the courtyard. Needless to say, chaos ensues until bodies start to drop and then the chaos escalates!

This movie is labelled as 80minute long, well it is not! More like 3x80mins. as in fact it is a three-part movie a la Love Exposure. And just as all great things, the best part part is in the last act where we are hit with a twist that this specific class’s Rep is actually gay. More surprise was the fact that it was actually seen through and that it was real, not fake weak love that is usually shattered in the wake of disaster like one’s life hanging in the balance, which this movie was all about. This Prez was Yumi, played by Yamamoto Hikaru who actually was also in My Rainy Days, which we know too to have yuri in it (though spoiler warning for My Rainy Days : BAD END).

No BAD ENDs for our lesbians this time around, Na ah! But sadly the girl Yumi has a crush on isn’t Seika’s character. A shame if you ask me. So then why am I mentioning her? There is a good reason other than the fact that I simply love her, just because of that doesn’t mean you can get mentioned here so here is the reason…

Let’s begin with this oh so Japanese movie starring Ishibashi Anna and Taketomi Seika. Just mentioning those two names should get everyone already tangling behind this movie’s tail and while I might understand the feelings of those who will be disappointed by this, if you have some experience in Japanese movies you will really like this even with the bit of salt that’s mixed in with the taste. But sometimes you have to add a bit of salt to fully enjoy the flavour, am I right?

But I will be honest with you dear Readers, I am not sure if I am broken but movies that have a smooth road with a GOOD END usually leave something to be desired. I don’t really know why but you will not find me re-watching such movies. I guess all these bumpy road movies have broken me completely if I prefer feel-inducing ones over smooth-sailing ones. There is a reason why I haven’t blogged about the Yes or No movies. Just saying.

I love a movie that will make me feel, it doesn’t matter if it’s rage or complete break-down levels of feels but if it will make me react and want to re-watch it later, be it a BAD END or crazy character modifications through out the movie or Directors turning into Sissies towards the end kind of movie, I love hose more. Now not to say that a happy go lucky yuri movie isn’t welcome. I used to love those when I was still a movie virgin and it won’t go away like memories of that first time you had sex…Err… Excuse me…

Good lord! Guys if you haven’t watched these two movies, you need to right now! Now before you go and raise your expectations to 11, let me warn you that these two movies are not 100% pure yuri and by that I mean Yes or No levels of yuri! But then again, if anybody is familiar with Japanese movies, and I am sure whoever is reading this is, 100% yuri movies from Japan are like 10 in every Century but fear not for the next best thing are these two movies! I have checked and they are both available on the net as you read this and it’s a matter of searching so no excuses!

Just watched these myself because while I got the DVD and BD a while back, I had exams and if I had watched them then I know I would not have enjoyed them to the fullest! Not to mention that every time I always watch anything I buy straight away, I am always way too hyped that I sometimes get disappointed pretty badly once I have finished. This time though, now that I am free from the horror that is college exams I can finally relax and watch my awesome purchases!

And so last night I sat through four hours of straight awesomeness and I was so hyper going to bed that when I woke up I found myself questioning whether what I saw was real or I just imagined watching them so there was one solution – I am going to watch them again tonight and post about them the next two days consecutively. Do stick around!

DAT Keiko and Kyoko though…dear Lord >.<

So, being a huge Seika and Nanami fan, I was really thrilled when I stumbled upon a movie that they starred in together out of nowhere! I simply hadn’t heard of this movie at all before so I was really excited when we met! Now in case you are looking for it, be careful. There are different Jinro Game movies so be careful. Then again, if you are looking into this one, it means you are a horror fan so even if you get it wrong, you might still enjoy what you found.

If you know not either of these girls, I am shaking my head at you. Nanami is kind of famous as an actress having been in quite a lot of projects already and in addition to her acting streak, she is also an Idol. That’s right, she is Idol first then actress afterwards. She is part of the 5 member group bump.y. From which another member co-starred alongside our very own Kitarie in Joker Game, a movie of the same genre that I have already posted about here.

As for Seika, if you don’t know Seika, I am shaking my head furiously in an attempt to figure you out! I have posted about her here quite a few times already, starting with that SKE movie starring Yuria and Shiori – ‘Gal Basara’ then in one of my most anticipated movies of the year – ‘Yume no Kayoyiji’. By the way, Yume no is already out on DVD but since I batch-ordered my copy with movies that aren’t out yet, I am getting it in May so…
