And by that I of course mean Christina and Ruby!
To those who haven’t seen the show and see these pics and wonder why I am even asking, well, let’s just say that I have nearly turned into a skeleton waiting for the two to finally make out as themselves! And when it finally happened you just couldn’t enjoy it because you knew shit was going down!
Making out as themselves, by that I mean that the two met as man and woman, yeah, this is that kind of series! As a fantastical horror it’s A+++ a la HBO signature but I have a feeling that when the show runners saw the ending to BLY MANOR they were like…
Um…boys, I think we damn fucked up on this one!
But it was too late to change things as Ruby and Christina ended up like 99% of horror lesbians, nay, couples – In that there is not only a BAD END but they do everything to not make you feel sorry for them at all! Except in this case I am very disappointed in how these two ended up.
I don’t know, I really expected something! At one point it looked like the two were changing each other but the show tried hard to stop that development any way possible! Seriously, the only thing that makes me feel better about the ending is that Tic, the main character died too! I don’t know about everyone else but to me he was more of a ‘bad’ person than Christina!
Anyway, there I go jumping all over the place, the thing was that before the last episode, whenever Christina and Ruby made out they were man (Christina as William) and woman (Ruby as either herself or Dell (The white woman form Ruby takes with the potion).
Despite all that talk about, I may be William but my feelings are my own, they never made out as themselves and when they finally did, Ruby was out to steal from Christina, to betray her to help her Sister, like all these feelings she’s been having are nothing! And I don’t even wanna think about what Christina did to Ruby when she caught her as taking over her form usually doesn’t mean anything good!
Anyway, not that it mattered what happened to Ruby seeing as Christina was killed like a dog at the end. Seriously, am I the only one who didn’t see her as that villainous?! They should have tried harder!
Actually HBO has done this before, and very recently, giving villains fates they don’t deserve. The other being Watchmen’s Lady Trieu! They really need to work on those things!
Sorry, I just wanted to show what a missed opportunity this was! Imagine Ruby and Christina finally accepting each other and maybe even changing each other by making the other accept themselves as they are! They changed the original story anyway so why not change it for the better? From what I hear the villain in the book anyway had a far better fate than Christina, despite being the worst!
Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk. And like I said, the show delivers as a horror! Seriously, triple As everywhere! They only needed to work on them relationships! I don’t think there was even one healthy relationship in this show!
Love you Christina, and I still ship you with Ruby, well, your potential!
