So, yesterday Takahashi Team B (That would be Takahashi Juri to the newbies, welcome by the way) had their solo concert leading up to the Request Hour of this year. In case no one knows, Yukirin is everything to me and of course that would mean that Team B comes with the territory as my favourite Team.

This time around though there are a lot of girls and I have to confess that I am not yet familiar with all of them, especially the new Team 8 (I know the first gens) and the KKS girls! But I am getting there and having watched a few stages and the new Concert releases, I am getting there!

I am not sure if I talked about this new Team before. Usually I talk about all new Team B formations so I am going to briefly mention my thoughts on this new Team and might get back to it later once I have gotten to know all the girls. And sadly the team has already lost girls. Miyu is gone and Hiichan is off to Korea for two years as a member of I-ZONE but at least they left behind one performance with all the rest in that first performance during the ‘Jaabbajaatte nani?”  concert.

I was of course saddened too that Rei-chan left and that Sayaya did not come back cause I still don’t understand the reasons for the Team Ballots if the members we going to be shifted to different teams later on anyway! I guess it could be worse, Yukirin could have been transferred out of Team B, which as of now, that would be a crime against the Universe and I am sure that it would fight back to right that wrong and bring balance back to life!

What’s done is done so I loved on to appreciate the new Team and the first thing I was happy about was Juri! I really loved her and Yukirin’s interactions during, what I like to call Yukirin’s 2nd stage (after B5 – Theatre no Megami) which most know as SS7! Just search for SS7 on Aidoru!Online in case you want that stage! I really love SS7 and correct me if I am wrong but it is not over yet, right? There hasn’t been a Last Performance stage for it, right? I really love that stage, especially LOVE TRIP! Yukirin nails that song so hard!

So when Juri came over to Team B, and not only that but she is the captain, I was really happy. I wanted to see their continued chem and bickering! In terms of people, the other choice I was really happy about was Megu! I have a really soft spot for that girl! And especially when she is paired with Yukirin. Which of course means that you won’t be surprised when I say that I got into her after I saw her and Yukirin’s Temo Demo Namida. They have an energy to them that is kind of similar! Just look at the pics above!

Another great thing about this new team, is actually in the title they chose for this concert. They are not only cute (which is an image that has been long associated with Team B, no matter the members) but they are much more this time around! Not only do we have Oya Shizuka but we have Nakanishi Shiori as well! That there is the comedians and Yukirin and Juri fall a little in that department! In addition, a lot of the girls are mature which gives it that mature and sexy identity as well. In addition to that, they have also added girls to give it that cool factor, mostly from Team 8 but looking at the images from yesterday’s concert, most of them just need the reason and they have their game faces on!

Speaking of, they apparently performed BEGINNER, RIVER and NO WAY MAN! in succession! Talk about over-tuning expectations! Of course they are cute too, this is Team B we are talking about! It can turn anyone cute! To think that the eldest member on AKB48 is in this team, and that she is still the staple of Idol image…hehehe

I am loving this team as time goes by and I can’t wait for this concert to drop! Now if you will forgive me, I am off to watch their Stage that came with the Concert Blurays so I can enjoy Theatre no Megami 2.0 in full quality!

My Poor Team B Babies!

Alright dear Readers, we need to talk about Team B!

Last year they broke record of team losing members and this year they are already set to break their own record!

4 months! four months into the year and we already have 6 members graduating! SIX MEMBERS!!!

Like, what even?!!

Remember when Team B was the the tightest team? I almost don’t! Seriously, how are MAYUKI supposed to relax, let alone graduate with ease of mind any time soon?!

At the end of 2016, Team B was already the smallest Team and now six members out of that smallest team, including BOTH our leaders BOTH OF THEM!!!! Both Ryoka and Yuria, are now leaving us!!!

Like, why?!!

Remember the things Yukirin said she could do instead of being a part of this year’s SSK members? Which you can take as reasons she decided not to enter? One of them was that she could appear more in Stage performances! Well, dearest Yukirin, you most certainly have no choice now!

Add in the fact that she is also a member of Team NIII and that image of B5 I used is most apt for this post! Theater no Megami? You are about to revisit that title dearest Yukirin!

Seriously, like, why girls, why?!

Oh yeah, these members are; Umetan, Aeri, Kira, Ryoka, Yuria, Miku! Ah crap Miku! With Aichan gone we now only have two 3rd gens left in Japan, like…

Okay, I think I need that MAYUKI song right about now! I so totally feel like listening to sad music right now!!

Happy 10th Anni Mayuki!!

Oops sorry, I meant Team B!

Happy anniversary Team B! My favourite Team! Is, has been and will always be (as long as Yukirin is part of it) my favourite Team Yasusu team! Team N almost stole that title when Yukirin was a Kennin over there which meant that two of my Oshii (Yukirin and Maachun) were part of the same team, not to mention that Sayanee, who was my first NMB crush, is also part of Team N! And don’t get me started on that Tenshi ga iru stage! It is second only to B5 (Megami), in terms watch times! And in case someone is interested, the third position goes to Party, thanks to Team 8, NIII and SKE KKS!

Ten years that Mayuki has been together! Like how even?! From the very beginning they were put in a position where they were supposed to be rivals, destined even but these two totally beat fate in that they never followed the rules of the universe that any other pairing follows in that they are rivals first and friends later! Never once did there seem to be rivalry between Mayuki, not even once!

Despite Mayuyu always taking the Ace position, for the Team, Yukirin was almost like a double Ace but as always never being the first. Only next to Mayuyu, and sometimes even more than her, she got the most lines in songs and centre positions. She was also one that took over as MC whenever Cindy was not around in the early days, most notably in the team B show AKB48+10.

Speaking of, I am feeling nostalgia, after all these pics of the anniversary LIVE where almost all the original members came back to perform. 12 members in total showed up, all things considered that is not bad. Not bad at all! And so after this I am going to re-watch that AKB48+10 show, all stages from B1 to B5, the 2009 Request Hour and the early AKBINGO episodes, before it was even called AKBINGO!

Ten years, this also makes Yukirin the member who has been with any team out of all the Teams, the longest! Indeed, she is true Blood! Oh man, now I wish she entered SSK! I mean, can you imagine if she won, on Team B’s anniversary? There is no telling if after being so loyal maybe Team B and colour blue would have finally given her back some luck! I can just imagine the headlines ‘ Kashiwagi Yuki (25) – The true Team B member finally wins SSK on it’s 10 year anniversary!’

Dammit all!

Seriously though, how have Mayuki managed to survive all these years?! And it’s not like Mayuyu is not competitive because she really is! Yukirin everyone knows would choose peace any day of the week but even then it doesn’t work like that! Only one person can’t make things work. otherwise there would be less violence in this world! So how?!

The only mystery of the universe I know of!

Dearest Team B, What is happening to you?

Members we have lost within mere months! The new Teams haven’t even started and we have lost five!! already!! Damn it AKS!! This is all your fault! If you had just got it through your skulls to think before you talk (announce shuffles when everything is prepared – new stages etc…) we wouldn’t have this problem!

Now that I think about it, the only thing that saved the first Team Shuffles (bringing us Kashiwagi Team B) was because they got to start building relationships right away! That was the most volatile assemble ever but they stuck like glue through it all because they had a purpose! But now…

Being down with so many members, who is willing to bet that we are going to have the new stage (new? HA! HA!) postponed once again?! Well, we are still in the 16-nin safe-line but that is if all the Kennin are present! If they are not then we are down to mere 15 members! As if being the smallest Team currently wasn’t bad enough! Oh well, I guess the Draftees are to be promoted to full members all together. They will just have to work a bit harder to catch up but I know they can do it. But that then brings us back to the delay again.

Sigh

And I was just about to post a New Team B appreciation post listing all the members in anticipation of the new Team Stage this month! Dear AKS Staff, come here. I have something for you all, starting with you Yasusu…
