I have had this movie from Ukraine (Prayers to those suffering from the war) for a while and I almost forgot about it. Coming back to it, I was reminded why…

Sure, they try to spice things up a bit but it’s still within the realm of realism so basically we are like reminiscing about our young days! Yes, I did everything these characters did, somethings even in primary school! Though a threesome is not one of them for sure! But seeing as we didn’t see them going past kissing, I bet it didn’t happen either! As for kissing, it goes without saying that I have kissed both!

Since we are doing confession, I am totally in smotes with Yana! Girl is super cut! Those boys in school are stooped, for no one even asking her out! Like, come the hell on!! I guess I am the only one into dark haired girls these days!

As I said, the story is an everyday occurrence so there is nothing to write home about and we never get an actual statement about these three’s relationship! Friends? Masha, the boyish one, has a crush on some thinks-he’s-cool kid in class, who doesn’t even like her back. Yana is apparently depressed, but we only hear her say it, we never get to see it! The boy friend went through a traumatic experience and that’s about as much info you will get about them! Sure, their friendship is admirable, but anyone could see it wouldn’t last! But then again, they are still young!

Other than the kiss, and OK, that was one mighty kissing right there! Other than the kiss, I was expecting more! There were these moments where Yana would look at Masha and it would seem like she was harbouring some hidden feelings, but we never touch upon that! There is also the small fact that she initiated the threesome by kissing the guy!

Making a love triangle of the three would have made for a much more interesting story, even if it was already done to death! The boy was so in love with Masha! Yana could have also been in love with her or Masha finding out that she was more in love with Yana after she got dumped by her crush and Yana would be thinking no one loved her hence the depression!

But alas!

Oh well, I will the kiss!
