Kamisama no Hekohiiki / 神様のえこひいき

Because, not to be dramatic, but this feels like a personal attack or something!

I mean, I just knew, I just knew but I had to check this out..for Science, and for you all! And also because I had written about another series where a Guy went into a girl’s body so I couldn’t skip this and a chance to ask if it’s still gay if a guy is in a girl’s body!

Seriously though, I feel attacked with this series from Hulu Japan!

Now, this is actually a fantastic show for gays! The main ship is goddamn near perfect! I literally want to get on my knees and kiss these fuckers. But Fuckers they still are!

Because they did a perfect job with the main ship, which is a BL story but somehow, somehow they found a way to fuck us GL community in the ass real hard!

Okay, the more I think about this the more pissed I am becoming!

I knew from the get go that this would not end well, given the body swap thing and given that the main character is in love with his best friend! There was no way this would have ended well for yuri!

But I did not expect the fuckery we were fed!

This is 2022 goddamnit!!!! I do not care if this is based on an existing story, fuckin change something! It’s a goddamn adaptation not a direct translation FFS!!!

And to think that we get this treatment in a series that is about a goddamn perfect gay coming out story, like fuckin hell I am about to…about to…

Rin (The long haired, played by Arai Myra), falls in love with a transfer girl, only this girl is actually a fellow boy classmate who got into an accident and a god gave him a second chance to be able to fall in love with his best friend whom he confessed to and got rejected right after dying so he wished to be reborn as a girl so they could be able to be together.

In other words, Rin fell in love with Kagura (Played by acquainted SAKI member – Sakurada Hiyori) ! I do understand wanting to create drama by having herself question if she really loves Kagura the girl or the personality inside! But if she really loved the personality, she would have fallen for Yashiro when he was a guy seeing as she knew him given she was his best friend’s girlfriend!

The fact that she did not but fell in love with Kagura shouldn’t be given the ‘I love the person inside’ debate heavy!

But I’ll allow it, for drama! But even given that, even as they made a big deal about her having to make a decision, even as she is all whispering in a sleeping real Kagura inside Yashiro’s body, about her waking up so they could talk, even as they promise to have her confront real Kagura and explore those feelings with real Kagura as well.

Guess what happens when real Kagura wakes up…

NOTHING!!!!

FUCKIN NOTHING!!!!

They do not talk about it. No one brings up the fact that Rin loves Kagura! Despite Rin always referring to Yashiro in Kagura’s body as Kagura and never Yashiro, she just decides that she loves Yashiro inside Kagura without even giving the real Kagura a chance!

And then to run salt in the wound, the real Kagura also somehow also falls in love with Yashiro, inside her own body!!! Like, WTF!?!!

They also had like a whole as episode where Kagura and Yashiro were back in their own bodies but did we have Rin and Kagura alone for even a second of it? No, fuck us that’s what!!!

Like, I wouldn’t be this mad otherwise but the fact that this was a gay story and they BL couple got a perfect storyline while the GL got fuckin pissed on again just doesn’t sit right with me!

Fuckin hell!

Ok, I’mma quit out of here before I start spitting literal fire!

Look, if you love BL, this is literally the best thing I have seen out of Japan! Just watch it and save it and buy it if it ever becomes available! This shit is perfect. If it was the GL that was the main one, I would have hailed this as the best ever!

GLers, stay the fuck away from this! For the love of all that is yuri, please stay far away!
