“Everybody knows that it’s a cliché to go for the most popular girl in school!”
Yeah?
So is the fact that no Lead ends up with the most popular girl in school!
But I guess you totally skipped over that part!!!
If you are going to preach, practice!!
Like, don’t get me wrong. The movie is super cute and so are Paige and A.J but for fucks sakes, this was time the popular girl was gay and fun and so sweet and even then, the main girl did not get the popular girl!
It was the usual, oh, you are blind to this girl who is in love with you while you pine over the one you can’t have! Only she could have gotten the one she wanted but plot, you know!
I mean, I am 100% sure almost everyone will love this but for me, it is joining a certain list of movies that, while I totally understand why they are popular, they don’t do it for me. That list includes; THE HALF OF IT and CAROL to mention but a few.
But this is also because of my condition that I have when I can’t ship anyone else apart from the first impression ship! In this case it was Paige and Gabby and even though I knew from the trailers that Paige would end up with A.J, I was just so taken with Gabby and even though I did not know she would be gay, I was already shipping.
My fault, I know!
But I won’t let that stop me from being happy that I found another favourite ship! I am pretty sure there’s going to be fan fic about them anyway and they will be living rent free in my thoughts and dreams.
Sometimes in war you gotta pick a side and this is mine so, sorry to anyone that I am clashing against but hey, we are always bound to clash sometimes.
Oh well, I am sure many will enjoy it and I totally recommend it so go watch this fluff of fluff movies.
Have a lovely day.

This movie is great! Really, really great! Best romantic comedy to date. The movie is full of all the most common romantic tropes. And I love that!!
Earlier in the month, we also had the excellent “Love, Classified”. It’s really cool that we can FINALLY have this kind of movies, “silly”, touching, cute, funny and light.
By the way, how does Chantal, the witch, end up with Gabby??? Spells? Love potion? I would have liked to see more about them lol

No idea, I had tunnel vision while watching the movie 😅
It’s true though, if I was team AJ this would probably be my favourite movie of the year so far
But I’m built different 😫

This is the second/third time we have different ships lol. We’re the opposite oof, if you can’t ship anyone else apart from the first impression ship, I can’t ship anyone else apart from the canon ship! Which means I’m Team Inger on Heirs of the Night lol. To be honest though, Crush kinda almost swayed me to your side because Gabby is also precious ugh. Like, I was so excited there’d finally be a teen romcom but was then disappointed to learn it’s a love triangle (bc it’s one of the tropes I hate the most), but then when I finally watched the movie I was just surprised with how pleasant Gabby is that it kinda made me wish she was the one Paige ended up with instead. But my canon-loving brain won’t take it so I’m now Team AJ because they’re super cute too aaaaaaa. Lastly, I just wanna point out that the intro to the movie totally hooked me in for the rest of the movie. As I said, I was skeptical about how the movie will turn out given the plot but omg, the way they showed little Paige being so confident in her sexuality at such a young age totally sold the movie for me right from the start. Like, before this the only show I know where a young sapphic is so sure of herself is Schloss Einstein but Paige here is shown to be younger.

Tomoyo material right there…
Anyway, I am the one that’s broken so don’t mind if we have different ships hehehe
