Live Again, Love Again
Can’t believe this isn’t gay?
You best believe it!
Nope, the movie did not begin AND end with the two of them playing the piano together, each with one hand in complete sync to create harmonic music, while making eyes at each and the atmosphere around them basically screaming cloud 9!
Our main girl Mi (braid), did not just spend most of her sleep dreaming about our other girl Yoon-hee, dreams that seemed more like flashbacks of a different lifetime (more specifically previous life), in which she was actually the forbidden lover of Yoon-hee’s previous life self! Nope…nope!
Going with the possibility that they were lovers in the previous life, these two did not just get another chance at a better life in the current life! Yoon-hee did not just appear right as Mi was thinking about those weird dreams and did the thing (You know what!)!
Like, talk about the perfect, never done idea that this movie had right there!! These two lovers, whose previous life together ended tragically with the death of Mi, as he was a soldier of the invading army, who came upon Yoon-hee’s home and fell in love with her after she took care of him, only to be killed by Yoon-hee’s brother (I think) accidentally, because to him this was an enemy soldier!
Sure there have been quite many destined lovers stories but not where one of them got reborn in a different sex (female in the case of Mi).
Everything was right there! The magic blueprint was at the ready! Even more so, the supporting facts like Mi not having a boyfriend, both being musicians, Yoon-hee’s relationship with her boyfriend producer not working out as it should, a fact that played into her committing suicide!
Like, everything was right there!! Yoon-hee who was questioning her music life could have met this new and aspiring musician looking to make it into the industry and in getting to know each other and with Yoon-hee’s help to get Mi into the industry thus invigorating her passions for music, the two could have changed each other’s lives. Their connection from the previous life could have been reborn and they could have led a happier life this time around!
Obviously that did not happen!
The two met only once! Yoon-hee literally died that same day by jumping off of a bridge!
That thing about Mi being the reincarnation of Yoon-hee’s previous life lover? I came to that conclusion myself! The movie makes no effort about it let alone use it at all! The flashbacks are there in abundance but they are freakin useless!
Like, I think this is actually more waste of potential than those other Chinese movies I have written about! At least they did not lay the ground work! I can totally understand that 4/10 rating on IMDB now!
Well, that being said, the two actresses are super pretty, aren’t they! All the more to feel the loss of what could have been! Like, this is a joint work between two countries! You could have done something phenomenal!!
“Live Again, Love Again” – MY ASS!
Sigh
What a waste…
