Dear 2020, how about we chill the frack out for a minute, huh!!!
It sure feels like forever since we found out that Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan were going to be lovers in some movie, hasn’t it!! Bit the moment is finally here! And if IMDB is to be believed, then we will be seeing this much needed seriously hardcore A-list acted lesbian gem of a movie as early as November this year!
Yeah, I am still sceptical given that we are only like, three months away if not less, and we are only getting the first trailer! But then again, given the fact that studios aren’t relying that much on just cinemas, I guess it is possible!
Seriously though, for some reason I was completely floored by this trailer! I am not sure what I expected but I did not expect the amount of sauce we got served! I couldn’t help it but see all these notes that would fit right into The Handmaiden and in fact, I think I already even know what my favourite scene will be, like the bath scene from said movie!
Seriously, my jaw is still on the floor! They really did not hold back! And if we are seeing this much sauce in just the trailer, can you just imagine what we are about to be served in the movie itself?!!
It’s just so good to see that some directors were paying attention in 2016 and took notes from the greatest lesbian movie ever made! Either go all out or go home and while this doesn’t seem to be as deep, I am already sold and in fact, I am ready to give this the trophy for movie of the year!
God, that was so damn hot!
I still can’t believe this is the legendary Kate and the one and only Saoirse that we are talking about here!! This is like Hailee in Dickinson levels of shock!
I swear, this year will be going down in books of history but in mine it will be for a completely different reason! 2020 is the undisputed champion as we speak and Ammonite will cement that fact in stone! In fact, there is still months to go so something else might even happen before then!

This trailer is just so perfect!
Unfortunately, the movie is scheduled for March 2021 in France. The waiting will be long…
Fortunately, I’ll soon have Summerland (with Gemma Arterton and Gugu Mbatha-Raw) to see.

This really does look interesting (especially because I love Saoirse), but it’s getting released here in January and I’m not sure if I’m willing to go see a movie in the theaters again anytime soon. Mostly because we’re planning to open up even more at work soon 😩 But I’ll definitely watch it whenever it comes out digitally!
