I am not sure how I am supposed to feel this year given what’s happening in the world and what’s happening in my world! This year has been so good to me that it feels like 2016 when things were just…right and good! That feeling is back in my life given how things have been going great currently!
Almost in all worlds, I have been covered! I got a perfect anime yuri in Fragtime, I got a great yuri movie in quite a few films this year, TV Series have been…hello!! And then we are getting Ellie and Dina in TLOU Part II in the game world! In addition, we finally got what we have been asking for for the last 2 and half years, well, if you follow me on twitter you will have noticed that it is almost dedicated to one thing, the DCEU. But now that the battle has been won, once 2021 rolls around and we get Zack Snyders Justice League, that account will be reset and back to normal content, that is Idols and yuri!
So yeah, it almost feels surreal that the good is almost on the same scale as the bad, as far as my life is concerned of course!
But why choose to dwell in the negative feelings? And as such, positivity from here on out on this blog and my other social accounts! Kicking things off is another of the great things happening this year in that VAGRANT QUEEN, a series that sent my Gaydar in overdrive with its 1st episode, finally came to fruition with Elida and Amae getting together!!!!!
Like, I still can’t believe it!! And it did not just happen! There were seeds planted all over the episodes from the very first to the latest (9), with those two doing little things, cute little things, like Elida getting Amae a gift in the form of the cute robot mascot, Making sex eyes at each other, having a NOW KISS moment half way through, Amae stopping her loose characteristic where she slept with every woman that crossed her path because it didn’t feel right despite not having even come close to establishing her feelings for Elida, Elida almost walking off a cliff because she was hallucinating Amae walking away from her after being bit by a poisonous insect, Elida almost taking a bullet for Amae, Elida cheating at straws just so she could be paired with Amae, Elida having a self eye-roll at her useless lesbian act, seriously, this show is a guilty pleasure and kiss my backside Haters!
Elida is a Queen, she is a bad ass, she is the main character, she is also a lesbian! And it is not like she is an out and proud lesbian but rather, I actually think this was her first relationship! I just, I can’t comprehend this gem! How did it happen!?! Lesbian main characters are very very few but this year we have gotten at the most 70% of all main character Lesbians in main media! Like, how?!!
I just this series so much! Amae is all kinds of adorable, Isaac, the Dude I was worried about is also very tolerable, even after the shit he pulled I did not hate him at all, the bad guys are very watchable and those storm trooper like lackeys are so funny I just love everything about this series!
But of course the cake is the Elida and Amae relationship and the fun in watching it all come together and finally paying off with their first kiss just before they separate for the final mission to take down the big bad!
There’s probably just one episode or two left and chances of it getting a sequel are very low, like <0.1 but fortunately, the way things are going, this time the series will actually end unlike other times where things are left unresolved and then the series ends up getting cancelled and we are left in dead waters!
It really feels good to know I still got it, my sixth yuri-sense! The Goddess still has my back! And what’s better I don’t have to watch out for the bad luck because I am at neutral now with the bad already passed!
