It’s Over 9000!!!!
YES! YES!!
Now we are talking! This is it! This right here, Ladies and Gentlemen, this is it!
I can’t believe I am saying this but, this stage play is gayer than the anime!
Yes, I said what I said!
Sure the anime has all those great kisses, and those great kisses and even more of those great kisses but in the end, you gotta admit that we were left…unsatisfied, weren’t we! Well, the stage play was like, screw that ending! While the kisses here will make you lose your mind a couple of times, I should know, I nearly broke something because of all the teasing, but that anger all went out the window with that ending!
I haven’t been this satisfied with an ending to anything since…The Handmaiden!
Yes, the ending here was that perfect!
I usually never get into Stage plays, in fact the only other play I have seen is the Lost in the Supermarket Majisuka Gakuen play with Yukirin! The audience always gets in the way of my enjoyment and I don’t know why. Maybe because I never get pulled into the world of the play?
But this time around, I was fully engrossed in the play. It being closely related to the anime but not 100% made me pay a lot of attention trying to follow and compare the two stories simultaneously. I was so lost in it that when they did the play part, the play within the play (Kimi shika Shiranai), I felt like I was in inception because I couldn’t tell what the real world was anymore!
It was that good!
And I haven’t even gotten to the gay stuff yet!
My Goodness!
There is so much gayness here I think everything I own turned gay today! So many cute moments and the way the play was shot – perfection! The cast were spot on, especially our girls Yuu and Touko! They are played by actresses Kawauchi Misato and Koizumi Moeka respectively. The former was in Kuzu no Honkai, playing a character of the same name as her real first name while Moeka-chan, I am not that familiar with.
But the two were just perfect in these roles!
Seriously, everything was just perfect about this! Even the make-up and wardrobe and the design and…just everything was just so good! I really did not expect to like this, like at all! I only watched it because I did not have anything else to watch and I was kind of pissed off at Hidarikiki no Eren for their latest episode, or more like the next episode (Who the fuck gives us that gay moment only to pull that shit next episode?!)
Anyway, back on topic, I went into this with zero expectations but girl, I came away transformed! I feel like my anime spirit is back! In fact I am getting some episodes now as we speak, that’s how affected I am by this play!
I have to confess, other than Heaven’s Feel and Tanya the Evil, I haven’t watched any anime since Yagate. Mostly had to do with that ending of the series, actually. How quaint that it is that same Yagate that brings me back to Anime, eh!
God, I am not getting over that ending anytime soon. The way they hid all other kisses from us but that last one! It was as if they were strengthening the point of the feelings being one-sided from Touko but during that last one, the both of them loved each other and thus it was time to show us their true kiss!
That hit right in the soul! I literally forgave everything that happened before with them hiding all those kisses from us! And then even during the curtain drop as they said their goodbyes, Misato and Moeka were still in character! They were still giving us Yuu and Touko! To the very last second!
God, I feel like crying!
Anyway, I hope you are prepared because there is like a gazillion screengrabs…
Ja
