First ever BNK48 post?

That it is! But as someone once upon a time said – Better Late Than Never, am I right? Especially since the other 48 sisters aren’t doing anything for me as of late unless Yukirin is involved.  I am sure you have noticed the lack of posts about them, surely!

Back to BNK48, and in case there is someone out there that doesn’t know, these are the sisters stationed in Bangkok Thailand. Hence, BNK48. Truth be told, I should have posted about them quite a lot already! First of all they are unparalleled in MV quality! Secondary, I am no stranger to Thailand. In fact as far as movies are concerned, I was a fan of Thai movies before I even got into any other Asian Cinema. Sure I had watched a lot of anime before then but when it comes to movies, Thailand was my first.

In addition, I have a major crush on MUSIC! No, not music as in genre but the member of BNK48! Her name is MUSIC believe it or not and in fact she is in this movie that I am posting about now. She is the short haired one to those that don’t know. As for the other member here, her name is JENNIS. I am using capital letters because I want to make sure you know I am talking about MUSIC the person not the genre and since I am doing that, to stay consistent, I might as well write the other name in capitals as well.

As to why she got on my radar, well, while I had noticed her before watching all those MVs, she really didn’t run me over until last year’s end! You all who know me know what I am talking about but it was the fact that she got to hug my Goddess on live television! I was like, she is a fan of Yukirin? Sign me up!

Yep, it was as simple as that! In fact I had wanted to write about that at the time and should have been my first post about this group but alas…

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, BNK48 Films (I didn’t know it was a thing) is releasing a movie starring MUSIC and JENNIS! I of course don’t expect pure yuri but really, this is Yuri GOGGLES so you best believe it I am very interested! If you watch the trailer and come away with, Nah, there is nothing here, then you are in the wrong place! Speaking of, there is post I am putting together about that and some very new developments.

Back on topic, this movie reminded me a little about another Thai movie from almost a decade ago titled ‘Dear Galileo’, which was centred around best friends that go abroad to travel for a year but have a falling out while there. I would say the level of intensity will be on par but the emotions here look to be deeper than then. First of all there is no Guy for them to fight over here and it looks like simply life gets in the way.

It will be interesting to see what the conclusion is. From what I gathered from the trailer this is going to come down to the decision of leaving your comfort zone in order to grow or stay in that zone and never grow out of your shell! But while usually it is with family here it’s about MUSIC and JENNIS’s characters. Unless it is a marketing decision, it looks like the movie will be from JENNIS’s POV and she will be the one who is leaving everything behind including her best friend and girlfriend (according to the people).

This movie looks like it’s going to hurt a lot and we have mostly seen JENNIS’s side of the story. I am pretty sure they will focus on MUSIC as well and if JENNIS really ends up leaving, I am not ready for MUSIC’s FEELs after words!

This is all of course if I ever get the chance to see the movie >.< Fingers crossed it will be out on Bluray or even DVD. But even then, unless they put it on international markets, I probably won’t be able to get it!

That being said, this is BNK48 and there are fans all over the world so chances are bigger than usual already!
