What’s not to like about ‘Iranai Twintail’ – The coupling track on their 5th Single – Sagase Diamond Lily?!

Being the first single since Sasaki Maika, my No.1, got back, I was very much looking forward to this single, among other things! The last single didn’t even get a chance to disappoint me because I have yet to even watch it! And really, I have a feeling that despite that, I probably didn’t miss much!

This 5th though, as if it wasn’t enough that Maika is in it, basically this MV and the actual A side MV for Diamond Lily are both kind of lililicious! That being said the A-side falls kind of short so I was looking forward the the coupling song! Having heard some things about Maika and Iori getting a duet, I was ready to be dropped into cold water because that sounded like a win for the competition! I mean come on, they got a song to themselves!! And from what I saw of the pictures from their performing of the song LIVE, it is one intense song!

Though it gives me hope knowing that just as I knew it, Maika is the Alpha of the group, if she is topping Iori like so…Ha, take that!

Anyway, I am happy too that Maika’s power within the group did not disappear within the time she was away! I was kind of worried there when I saw her moved to the second row in Diamond Lily and in the background in the MV, when her partners at the top (Centre Hitomi and her Left Nagisa) were the focus of the MV. But then I thought about it!

Even as she was moved back, she was still paired with Hitomi, even though it was only in the dance shots and not the MV. And even here, while she was on the second row, this was a Loli Centre song and again she was paired with Hitomi! They were right next to each other in formation too, right behind the two Centres, really, at times it seemed like Maika was the shadow centre in-between Kiara and Nagisa (W-Saitou).

Anyway =LOVE continue their trend of having really high quality MVs and while I was disappointed in the A-side given it has the words ‘Find’ and ‘Lily’ in the title and being so low on the subject, I kind of understood. It’s been only a single release since the GAY bomb that was Teokure CAUTION! It is kind of too soon! So I am happy with what we got!

Very happy in fact, especially given the ships we got! Sure I feel for some shippers that were blocked (eg AnRisa, IoNo) but I got Hitomaika! And we also got WSaitou! Those are the only two from the 3rd single couples! Actually, add Anna/Shoko on that list, because they were in a threesome in that with Risa so I guess you can think of it as Shoko winning that battle?

The other couples were Iori/Sana, Miria/Hana and Risa/Nonno!

Sigh Maika-chan, how I missed you! Welcome back and I tots love your new hairstyle! It totally fits the concept for this song! And Risa, my No.2! Damn girl! And as for the subject of the song, are the Lolis going to graduate from Twintails now?! Ha, I doubt that with the power of Ra!

But let’s also touch upon that Hitomaika scene! I was kind of let down when it seemed like they got lesser scenes than the other couples but then I thought of the scenes deeply. Sure Anna/Shoko win in that not only were they lipstick lesbianing, hand-sexing and even kiss-hinting with Anna raising Shoko’s face with her finger by her chin, Hitomaika did the ring thing!

Now sure, would I have preferred the reverse? Definitely, but let’s think of what actually happened too with the ring coming off! Putting points aside for them being the closes among the couples, distance-wise, with Maika practically enveloping Hitomi within her arms, hugging her from the back – the hottest kind of embrace BTW, add in the way Maika was holding Hitomi’s hand to get that ring off, and we already won before we even get to the ring story itself!

Actually, thinking about it, getting that ring off is more impactful than putting it on! Rarely do you see people taking off rings! Why, because there is something there, a stronger meaning to a ring being taken off a finger than it is putting it on! And since usually you would associate danger with that action, here Hitomi let’s it happen! Like, I want to know the story behind that ring! Does it belong to someone else and Maika is taking it off of Hitomi to claim her as her girl? Or did Maika give it to her in the first place and is taking it off to give the, you still have it, speech!

Ahhhh

And then there are the other ships of course but since they are not what I root for, other than WSaitou, there is nothing much for me to say about them. You know by now that my soul foo consists of Maika, Hitomaika and sometimes Risa so you know where my priorities lie!

The MV as I said looks phenomenal! The concept, magnificent! The song, I think I remember hearing Maika and the girls sing it in showrooms and I was lost as to what it was. I thought it was some famous tune from another group I did not know about!

Well, now I know! I even get the ‘prrrrrezentoo’ thingie Maika keeps doing!
