Now that I have my wits back, let’s talk!

You all have no idea, absolutely no idea, exactly how shooketh I was the day before yesterday!!

Ever since I came back from my holidays in Tokyo, where I fell in love with this very group =LOVE, and most especially one Otoshima Risa and ship-wise with Risa/Anna and Hitomi/Maika, I had this long planned post where I was going to introduce this group to this blog with focus on my Oshi Risa and my OTP Hitomaika! But it was too grand a post and finding the right day was difficult, even to this day!

The point here is I have been an avid shipper of Hitomaika and Anrisa since December but never in a million years, never, did I ever have the thought of having a yuri PV with these two ships in it! And not just any ship when it comes to Hitomaika! These two are the only ones in a legit relationship in this PV!

If this MV is depicting the different types of love (=LOVE, geddit?), then Hitomaika are the ‘normal’ relationship and the others are the other kind of relationships; forbidden, secret, one-sided, innocent, threesomes, violent, fake, seductive and many more I can’t label!

Yeah, this PV is no Kataomoi FINALLY! but it is so grand that I just want to have a dedicated series with an episode specific to each relationship! Then towards the end the last few episodes would incorporate all storylines since they are still in the class! Do it Japan, Sashiko, I know you can! Hell, the PV ended on a cliff-hanger of sorts. Just do it!

Anywho before we commence, going back to how shook I was, not only did this PV drop but I also stumbled upon a new British/Netflix TV show that had me falling in love with its characters left and right from the very instance I laid eyes on them. That is something that British TV is good at especially with those types of dramas! More on that in a different post but I just love, love, love Leila and Tess and they haven’t even kissed yet, surprisingly, given the title of the show LOL

Wow!

Just…wow! This is, I think, the first time since KataFina (Still the best of the best MV) that I have been taken completely off guard with an Idol MV! SKE48’s unapologetic lesbian MV took over when it dethroned AKB’s controversial Lingerie-only PV – Heavy Rotation on only less than 2 years after it came out. It’s been 6 years since KataFina (Jesus, I feel old) and nothing has touched it! That PV was not shy of anything! Bloody finger sucking, gang banging, deep kissing…13 year olds, classroom seduction!

Jesus, just thinking of that MV makes me realise how nothing will probably ever dethrone it as the ultimate Idol gay MV! I was shook them and I am shook now but in a completely different way! This time it was the fact that Hitomaika, my No.1 ship in this group, turned out to be the alpha relationship in this MV!

Okay, I guess in that aspect it is similar to KataFina because in it WMatsui, my favourite SKE ship then was also the alpha ship in that and also had a threesome going! Now that I think about it, I never actually made a dedicated post to that MV, did I? Time to change that!

Anyway, I live for Hitomaika in this group along with Risa (and Anna. These two when they do a showroom together…if you know what I am talking about, you know –_^). But here even though there is something Anrisa in here, theirs, just like the others’, are all incomplete relationships. The truest one was Hitomaika, who like I hinted, have a third party in the road to their conclusion. That third party comes in the form of the boy of the group (Cause each group has to have one) – Noguchi Iori.

Hat of course meant everyone was going to lose their minds over her when =LOVE finally released a cool MV like this and so I was expecting her to be paired with the Ace Hitomi-chan (Takamatsu Hitomi). The CD covers don’t help matters when they show Iori with Maika (Sasaki Maika) and Hitomaika nowhere in sight…

And so I got the PV and added it to the queue. I was in no hurry to watch it because the possibility of seeing Hitomaika was too low! Which I guess was too pessimistic seeing as the previous MVs had a bit of Hitomaika actually and Maika was almost always next to Hitomi in line up. This time though I was afraid she was moved lower, as it the curse with the members I crush on. I guess she was kind of safe, what with her not being the one (Risa is my favourite =LOVE member).

So imagine my shock when the very opening of the MV, the very first seconds had none other than Hitomaika! I had to pause right at the logo because I was too shookth! Then I screamed! Then I hit stop and play again! Then the kisses hit and I was a gonner!

This PV is either a complete genius of a piece or something so awesomely random! Everybody seems to love someone but it is not who they actually love! In the world of the MV there are lies and secrets and only Hitomaika and Iori are genuine in their feelings! The paired closeups do a better job to weed out the liars and show the true feelings of the girls and even then it was Hitomaika and Iori that were completely genuine!

Staying with these three, you clearly see Hitomaika together in the PV world. Even though the focus is mostly on Hitomi you know that Maika feels something for her from the actions. They hide Maika’s side of things to keep her feelings vague since there is another part of the equation in Iori. Iori is in love (?) with Maika too so I guess you can look at the conspicuous way Maika was presented to be her being undecided on who to love though as far as I am concerned, she doesn’t have feelings for Iori, at least not to that level!

Speaking of Maika and Iori, I have a very unpopular opinion about these two, in that I actually see Maika, even outside of this PV, as the more cool a character compared to Iori! The coolness factor is more than just looks! It’s more than just having sharp features and a short haircut! Most of what I have seen of =LOVE content Maika is the embodiment of cool. I mean at the end of the day they are both girls have have their girlie moments (one of the =LOVE documentaries is almost all about a crying Maika because she messed up in one of their performances), which by the way, had a dose of Hitomaika as guess who was the most comforting to her…

And so me seeing Maika as the coolest girl in =LOVE being paired with the popular cool girl kind of classes the picture, if you know what I mean. Were it to be that the two ere in love with Hitomi it would have made more sense but this was kind of like, an example would be Bella and Jacob being in love with Edward or something! Totally not right, am I right…Then again there are fics of that very situation so…

Anyway…

And I can’t believe I just went into twilight Zone but Anyway, the reason why I put the question mark next to Maika loving Iori is that there was something off about  them! Forget the fact that Iori was just too aggressive with Maika (I so don’t like guys who man-handle girls. That is not cool in my book), the way she would grab her by force and the way she pushed Maika on that bench outside! While some people like being rough-housed, that would be not me! Now if Iori was all for this I would let it go but she definitely didn’t look like she was having there on that rooftop. And since they kept trying to hide her features and reactions it was still hard to gauge where she falls in terms of feelings until the very end where she made the choice!

That surprise hug from behind in the rain was meta as all hell and they really missed out on not letting it linger a bit longer but I guess they made up for it by having our girls kiss more than once. Yeah sure they hid all the kisses but they did happen (hence why it lost to KataFina). And so the girls that had the only genuine relationship were the only one that had a HAPPY END as well.

And so you see, we have a secret relationship in Anrisa, who don’t want their other best friend Shoko to find out so they pretend and hide the truth in front of her. Meanwhile Sana-sensei has a dangerous one-sided love for Meiri-sensei to the point of her pushing her onwards. Hers is not so different from Kiara’s unrequited love where Nagisa that she is in love with has a crush on the male teacher. She is of course there to comfort Nagisa and probably will never tell her what she feels despite having a chance now that Nagisa has found out that the teacher was in love with Emiri-sensei instead.

Nonno seems to have gotten over her crush on Sana-sensei, or maybe she hasn’t, which then means that Hana is also having a one-sided love for Nonno and they are just friends.

Either way you look at it, there is only one healthy relationship here, well, if you forget homophobia, in Hitomaika and that thought is still trying to be processed by my mind!

Rarely, and I mean, rarely do I get a spontaneous ship pan out like this has!

As for the other aspect of the MV, I do like the song. I will probably love it once I get the lyrics and comprehend them. I also love the dance part. It has the cool single feel to it in addition to the yuri! Like, what’s there not to like!
