There is a God and s|he’s awesome!

That’s right Ladies and Gentlemen, this actually happened!

But before we go ahead and talk about this moment in history, I just wanted to say that yes, I am still alive and kicking! Just actually had my Grad this weekend (YAS! No more studies…I hope!) and before that I was on holiday so most of my action was a re-tweet and a reblog here and there. If anyone was worried, do not be.

And so there I am trying to catch up on what I have been missing and you won’t believe it! As I was watching the 16th Single and saw Ikoma-kun and Minami-chan next to one another (albeit on the 3rd row), memories began to pour out of me – Memories of those first five singles when Minami-chan was always on the left of Ikoma-centre and was wishing and wondering when we will ever get another single of the three at the front (Iku-chan –> Ikoma-kun <- Minami-chan).

I was just thinking of that when that Nogibingo episode ended and Nogiroom started and then BAM! Minami-chan goes and drops the bomb! And not just dropping it, she talked about exactly what I was reminiscing about! Like, how awesome is that?! And all this with a dose of Hime-tan’s love letter to Ikoma-chan, also touching upon the subject of Ikoma-kun’s position!

Like, I knew that as soon as I finish this episode, I am so writing about it. Like, is there even any better way to get back to active duty here? Maybe, but I chose you IkoMina!

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

This all started of course with Hime-tan’s letter to Ikoma-kun. In it, she expressed how she got a new friend from Ikoma-kun when they talked during on the concerts which was all thanks to Ikoma-kun being moved to the back lines and thus next to Hime-tan. They found that they had more in common than they would have otherwise realized and hit it off pretty quickly to now become great friends.

Actually there is a funny story about this because this exact thing happened to me too just this weekend. I was never one to socialize with my classmates since I used to go to work straight away after classes and while I got along with a few students, I did not. then during the after party after a few drinks, I get to talk to this mate whom I had not been that close to. Turned out we loved a great deal of many things in common! We loved the same movies, played the same types of games, visited the same sites and we were there looking at each other like idiots wondering why in God’s name had we never hit it off! Now we are Facebook buddies and have joined the same gaming circles in the span of two days.

Alright, getting off track here but anyway, Hime-tan was praising the way Ikoma-kun handled being taken from the Center position after five straight singles (and the 12th) to going to the last row and yet she did not let this let her down. I have seen it as well but I thought it was only face-value and is doing it for the cameras but hearing that she is like that even behind the scenes makes me love here a great deal more, which is a feat in and of itself since she is already my Nogizaka kami-oshi anyway.

Obviously Ikoma-kun is still the Face of Nogizaka but somehow that is worse when she is the face but not even on the second row in singles anymore. We have seen girls breaking down from even losing a single position and yet here she is, smiling and even seemingly happier now than when she was as Center! I love her and Hime-tan loves her too because of this and hearing that, when Manatsu asks the girls what they thought of Ikoma-kun now after hearing Hime-tan’s words, Minami-chan drops it!

The first words out of her mouth were:” Minami loves Ikoma-chan!” – Speaking of herself of course. And props to that Manatsu! She knows their connection so I am very glad that she picked Minami-chan to speak first. Also just as a side note, I actually really like Manatsu too and totally ship her with Ikoma-kun. Ever since that shopping date with Ikoma-kun in Shibuya and saw her more serious side and the way she took care of Ikoma-kun, I could not stop caring for her. Despite her silliness and the teasing between her and Ikoma-kun, I still ship them.

Anyway, after the initial confession Minami-chan goes in deeper and pays it out as it is! She mentions the 16th single of course and the fact that they are next to one another and in the same positions relative to each other as they were in those first 5 singles (which actually contain my favorite Nogizaka song of all time), with Minami-chan being on Ikoma-kun’s left, just like old times.

She mentions of course the nostalgia that brought since they hadn’t been that close in line-up since ‘Kimi no na wa Kibou’. The 5th and favorite single of mine! But then she goes further and says that the sereneness that brought – the fact that Ikoma-kun was by her side once again, was unprecedented! Meaning that in the other singles since then that she had been away from Ikoma-kun she had been nervous but with Ikoma-kun by her side, all that left her and that she was calm and comfortable with Ikoma-kun right next to her once more.

Like, what is this even! And she said this in front of others and on camera. More interesting was that fact that she kept her eyes mostly on Ikoma-kun during her confession like…

And Ikoma-kun’s reactions to Minami’s words, I don’t even…

Like, what is this even!? My top ship in Nogizaka and they went and bared it all like this?! What am I supposed to do now? I mean not even Mayuki have declared their obvious love for each other like this, even remotely joking. And no, this was no joke! This was a serious talk and I hope someone up there was listening and they give us the trio, or even something new, a double center with IkoMina once again!

Give me my SHAKISM 2.0!!

Oh man, I had given up on these reality shows but it seems I need to reconsider. Time to batch download all shows right now and catch up.
