Oh Thank the Lord! I have been waiting over here wondering if they will have the balls to give us a yuri episode and then BAM! Sure it took them almost halfway through the episodes but ‘better late than never’ has never been truer than now!
So, who was the lucky girl picked to deliver us this precious gift of yuriliciousness? Well, that would be none other than Team 4’s Sub-Captain Okada nana AKA Naachan! Could it be that she cut her hair because of this drama? I doubt it but man, does she look nice with that new ‘Do!!
As for who the other girl is that got Naachan’s emotions all tangled up, I have seen her before I am sure but it is not until now that I have bothered to catch her name and that is Tsukiyoka Kaho.
What a cute little episode! And it surprised me a bit actually. I am not sure if it has been the case for the other episodes because I haven’t watched them seriously (Just skimmed through) but I was surprised with the GOOD END! I am guessing though that the other episodes also had them but this particular one I was actually sighing towards the end because it looked like we were going to get yet another BAD END but then we got a kicker when it turned out to actually be a GOOD END!
Seriously, if this had ended the way we first thought it would, by letting that guy get the girl in the end, I was going to be royally pissed! A guy like that doesn’t deserve a girl like Saki, better yet not a girl like Manami. he was just the worst.
Oh yeah, Naachan is playing Manami and Kaho is Saki!
Stalker!!
We have all been there…
Gets me every damn time!
So Aggressive!
I feel your suffering Manami!
For a second there I thought she was gonna grab her…
Friendship!
Change Yourself, Change the World!
Oh snap! This is gonna end badly, isn’t it?
Go die in a fire!
FRIENDSHIP!!!
Take that you Dick!
Can you believe this MoFo!!!
So much Suffering!
BEST END!
Friendship jokes aside, this was such a good short episode. One can write endless fics from what we got and much more! I am sure that if only I wasn’t spoiled, I would have enjoyed this episode all that much more when I got to that surprise.
In the beginning one can easily over-look the signs and think that Manami (Naachan) was secretly crushing on the guy. Of course there were signs that it was Saki she had feelings for but without the contest, it can easily fly by you and that moment later shortly after Manami’s change, the way she look at the guy there doesn’t really help matters any.
And so, while I really loved this, I wish I did not know what I was in for so that I could get my heart destroyed with that twist. Yes, I probably would have caught the signs but that applies only if I was paying attention. If I did not know this was a yuri episode, I would have paid it the same amount of attention that I had given the others and I am pretty sure then that I would not have caught the signs. That twist would have tasted so good.
Still, I got another surprise, like I said about the ending so all is good.
The episode starts with stalker Manami who both looks and acts the part. I was actually surprised they did not make Saki hate her at first since these two character types would definitely be at odds, even if Saki’s character would just be a bully towards Manami.
Instead it seemed like Saki took an interest in Manami, which I might specula that has been going on for a while. She does make it known later that she was aware of Manami’s stalking her and her boyfriend so that to me says that she too had had Manami on her radar. The fact that she did not approach her all this time means that there was something there on her side. I mean, if she were any other character, she would have come and given Manami a piece of her mind before then.
Instead she waited until the moment that a character not her would have had enough and I was actually waiting for her to blow up in Manami’s face but instead Saki just proceeded to become friends with Manami.
After this intro, that might have included Pokemon Go or might not, the two begin to give us some moe moments like hair-braiding, skirt-lifting, eye-catching, glasses-off-ing, side glances, table-don-ing etc, etc…
Saki then says to Manami how she was a loner before and had no friends and it wasn’t until she changed herself that her world changed as well. She delivers this advice to Manami who decides to take her up on it.
At first things look great. Classmates are swarming around Manami, who was like a shadow before! Boys are drooling over her even Saki’s boyfriend is all ga-ga for her now!
Probably without her knowing it, when Dick stares at her Manami gives him this radiant smile which spells trouble and trouble it brings because Saki catches those glances! Manami obviously didn’t mean it that way from what we know but Saki doesn’t know that so of course it is understandable that she gets jealous thinking that Manami was trying to steal her boyfriend.
The good thing is though that Saki doesn’t blow her top off to Manami but rather she goes to Dick. Sadly Manami catches the worst part of the conversation where Saki, in her heated feelings says that they were not friends (her and Manami). Manami is shocked in her tracks and drops her bag which alerts the two to her presence. Dick tries to use this opportunity to make himself available for Manami the new hot girl in school, and proceeds to dump Saki right their in front of Manami.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, guess what that Dick did the very next second?! He went straigght up to Manami and asked her to be his girlfriend! Like..
Were you frikking born yesterday?! Do you havee a heart? Do you even have a damn brain?! What a Dick?!
Ah but wait, you think that is bad? Well there is worse! After the kissing that…that…he actually had the guts to order Saki around like they were seeing each other right after that stupid shit he had pulled!!! Like, I was so pulling out my hair and screaming!! And Saki to even entertain the thought of going with Dick right then!!!!
Okay, okay, I give her the reason being fear of being bullied and called names for liking girls and maybe she had been kissed silly and didn’t have her brain on the right wavelengths but still…That MoFo just dumped you like, not even five minutes ago and you want to go with him?!!
Okay, let’s calm down a rewind a bit. After Dick confesses to Manami, Saki does the right thing by bitch-slapping that MoFo then running off leaving him there to wallow in shame, at least that was the plan.
Manami is surprised by this passionate Saki (don’t know why tho, she tried taking you in class Manami, remember?) but snaps out of it in time to run after her (and leave Dick to reflect in shame – that was the plan) which sees them ending up on the roof top.
There, Saki finally acts like the character I have come to know and was thinking she would be. She rails on Manami pouring out her green goo of emotions. Here is where she lets it known that she knew Manami had been watching her and Dick. She thinks that Manami was actually watching Dick all that time.
But Manami doesn’t start stuttering in apologies and failed attempts to explain. She lets Saki get the heavy emotions out of her systems and then quietly approaches Saki, takes her by the shoulders, gives her a no-nonsense look, there is a galaxy in those feeling eyes of hers. She moves closer, closer still, glances suggestively towards Saki’s lips to make it clear what she was about to do. Manami doesn’t say anything or do anything to stop the approach.
Manami kisses Saki.
Saki is rendered. She gets its her time to talk (and explain herself) and explain she does. She says that Saki is right. She has been watching them but not for Dick as Saki thought but rather for her. She has been watching Saki all this time. She has been taking photos of only Saki.
Of course by this time Dick has made his presence known. That MoFo comes in and swipes Saki before she can react to Manami’s confession. And get this, the MoFo actually has the gull to call Manami disgusting! I was like, we don’t want to hear that from you, bitch!
Then he takes Saki’s hand as if Saki owed him anything and begins to drag her away. Like, she is not yours! You dumped her! GTFO of here! But Sadly Saki goes with him.
Manami doesn’t let her walk away though before she tells Saki that she will wait for her. She will wait for as long as it takes Saki to sort out her feelings.
Saki doesn’t say anything and that kind of is why I thought we wouldn’t be getting any GOOD END from this. Thankfully I was wrong and instead of going to credits, we are taken back to the classroom and Manami is back in her books.
Saki comes in and walks up to her. Thee surprise on Manami’s face when she looks up and sees Saki and then the smile she gives afterwards and the way her eyes shine…
Only thing that could have made this better was if someone jumped into the other’s arms and they embraced or even have Saki be the one to deliver the final kiss but alas. Beggars can’t be choosers and what we did get a GOOD END so really, happy emotions all around!
Seriously, what a cute episode! I hope this is not the last yuri episode. Hopefully it did good in ratings and that can be a boost for the producers to give us some more. I mean this is 22:1 ration which is actually more than expected but still pretty bi-polar!
Here is to hoping for another one down the line…
Well, that’s that. But before I jump, some pics of the two…

Aww the ending of this was so sweet!!! Can’t beat a good ending like this!!! 🙂
Most interesting in this is that a while ago in a Myao chatroom Nana was the guest and kinda hinted that she could be bisexual, I mean it was not a full out admission but certainly she dropped some pretty strong hints, especially in idol terms, just find it interesting that they then went and did this with her.
I loved Nana’s character here, she played it really well, just little things like even after the makeover, she still was the same girl she was personality wise before the makeover it was just a character you could get behind and I love how she just let Saki rant at the end, letting her get it all off her chest before telling her the truth, that was super cool so often we would get an interruption there but not this time, not with Manami!!! Of course it also helps that it was Naachan playing it, she really is a girl who you can get behind I think, you want to support her (even more so after her revelations during her speech at the Elections this year) so it made this good end all then sweeter.
Gotta love a good win!!! 🙂
(Also have to like that Yuiri and Megu, Nana’s main ships, commented that the did not like the kiss scene, not one bit!! XD)
Also this episode has already been subbed!!
