Me in White, This Movie in Tyson!
Please oh please save me!!!!!
I just can’t handle this anymore! Waiting for this movie is going to be the worst torture I will ever go through. I know this for a fact! A Girl at My Door wait? Irrelevant!
I am also glad to mention that the award for the Best Reader Of The Year, has already been given away to Marcello, for bringing these new images release to my attention. Have been focusing on my project and since I did just check the usual sites for more about this movie just last weekend, well, I did not think new things would drop so soon.
I was awesomely mistaken. Leave it to Fingersmith to do this!
So, I went hunting and I found the other images with the other characters (after the jump) and when I calmed down enough to contain my ecstasy (no other word for this), I was even more blown away by the simple fact that from the posters alone, every character is already 100% spot on! To those who read the books these images are very spoilery to tell the truth because of how perfect the actors portray each characters’ traits just simply from the images!
You have that bastard Gentleman looking just like the ass that he is. Then you have the Uncle who is very possessive of his niece Maud despite the way he treats her (or treated her in her younger life). Then there the complex characters that are our two lovely leads in Maud and Sue! Seriously, even from the covers one still can’t place them and that includes me too! Seeing as I am one that has read the book countless times already and will soon after my project, this is a real testament to how spectacular this story and the two’s relationship is!
And yes, if you were here years back when I posted about the Reads of the Shelf, you might remember that the Fingersmith copy I have had all these years was the one with the Gloves. The one above is obvious different. This new edition is the UK version. In the US I think they still have the gloves, albeit with different design.
So, why the different book? Well, I am hopeless when it comes to Fingersmith so I decided to go out and just buy another copy, to make the experience some what fresh in waiting for this movie!
Yes, this is a book that was released in 2002 and yet it costs almost 30% more than it did about five years ago (when I bought the second Hard Cover copy). But do I give a tic? Let’s just say I would have bought it even if it cost 100 more!
Fingersmith and this movie I tell you dear Readers…
Any who, jump over for a few more pics…
