Dear Readers, a wonderful, wonderful Anon shared with me a video, two videos actually, on the Treacherous post. I watched them as soon as I got home yesterday and I tell you now…

Nay, it is the best MV I have seen in a while! Yes, it beats the ‘Girls like Girls’ MV that I posted about a while back. Not even Aimer’s PVs have anything on these videos, especially the MV! This MV and the short Drama version of it are near Godly! I am telling you I was surprised at what went into these videos! It was like taking the ‘Girls Like Girls’ MV and cranking everything up to 11! The yuri was up to the MAX and the violence…fatality!

The greatest thing about this is the fact that there are two versions of the video! Actually calling them two versions is kind of misleading because when I say version some would think in the lines of a PV and its Dance version or a longer version with a drama part included but those are neither the case here. One video is the main MV with music and lyrics and everything. Meanwhile the other video is like the Drama Version of the MV but it covers the story in its entirety both including what you see in the MV and what comes after! And while other drama version might have almost the full track somewhere or in other cases none-existent, here you are only teased of the awesomeness of that song. The drama makes you want to watch the Music Video just to have more of the song.

The best about these videos though is the fact that this is the first time you will watch an MV and don’t feel left out or lost as to what the future holds by the end of it. I loved that about these videos so very much and I think it is the main reason why ‘ABANDONED’ topped that charts. Actually forget ‘Best MV in a while’, this is now my favorite Music Video of all time!

Dear Anon, I worship thee and will forever be thankful to you until the end of time for bringing this video to my attention!

It is no secret that I love horror or stories that contain that bit of grit. Also, yuri is my reason of living and if I could, I would get married to yuri. Both of these elements were in this MV!

Perfection!

To make an already perfect MV more perfect, it not only has subs (both videos have English subtitles) but the song itself in the MV is awesome! I cried twice watching this MV! The first time I was not paying attention to the song and lyrics with my eyes glues to the two girls! The second time I paid attention to the lyrics and the song as the lovely lyrics massaged my very soul. Knowing what the song is about produced a whole different level of feels from your truly and the feelings the singers conveyed in their voices was the force behind the hammer!

I want the CD so bad! If anyone knows where I can buy it please drop me a link! I want this song in its utmost quality and in my collection! It would help too if the stores ship Internationally. I have done some search but I think I am doing it wrong because I haven’t found anything. Maybe it’s because the CDs aren’t on sale yet?

This song, this MV, dear Readers…

The two girls in the videos are Michiyo Ho and Diorlynn Ong. I confess that I have no idea who they are but best believe it that I am going to be finding out. I already subscribed to this Red People channel on YouTube and it seems they put up quite a few videos of the two and more from time to time so it is a good place to start.

I think I was lucky that the Drama video came first in the playlist then the MV because that is the best way to approach this when you are watching. It is the way that the story flows and I am forever thankful for that Drama Version because without it, we would have been left just like how we always are when we watch other MVs that leave more questions and empty-filled glasses behind than anything!

The drama opens in the current time, which is the future to the time that the MV is covering. Michiyo (Michi from now on) is an Air Hostess. We open with her trying to catch a cab to the airport and being so timid, people always steal the cabs from her until she finally steps up when another woman tries to take the cab she had called up. The woman turns around and Michi looks taken aback. At this moment I was thinking that this was the two women’s first meeting and it was love at first sight. Michi suddenly went docile and lowered her voice as she asked if the woman was heading to the airport too.

They take the cab together and the first clue that drops is when the car suddenly stops and two’s hands brace the couch next to each other. They have the same tattoo on either of their hands. The other woman pulls her hand away suddenly and there is this awkward air between the two. Michi pulls her hand away too and holds it as if to cover the small tattoo on it.

Before the hands they had a conversation that was hidden in meaning so well. Without having watched the whole video you would not know hoe deep that conversation went. Michi guesses that the woman next to her is going to Iceland. I don’t know how she knew this at this time but later it makes sense. The woman wonders at Michi’s awe. She says that Michi must have been to Iceland many times before. She means here of course that being a flight attendant, Michi must have gone to Iceland a lot before.

Michi replies that she actually hasn’t been yet. She says that she is still waiting for someone to take her there. An awkward air arises and it is at this time that the hand thing happens. After that things build up as the conversation starts to make the brain work. My mind was telling me that there had to be a connection between the two but I hadn’t seen any evidence to support that theory so I was caught in between! Even as the woman tells Michi that she shouldn’t think of the past and Michi replies that she couldn’t help it because the past came to her in her dreams, I was still oh so lost.

But then the flashbacks hit and they confirm that indeed Michi knew this woman, Diorlynn (Lynn hence forth). With their conversation in the taxi we get flashbacks to their old life when they were still young and the secret that was known only to them. They had killed someone in the past and it seems that it was too much for Lynn who left Michi when she most needed her (as she put it) and went of travelling around the world as she had dreamed of doing those years back.

In the past these two were very close, nay, they were lovers and in fact it was during one of their love-making sessions that the Boy dropped in on them. He was drunk (as very seriously emphasized by the bottle he was holding and his red cheeks like this was some kind of stage play, so he was not that pleased to find Michi making out with another girl (Lynn).

I did not grasp the relationship he had with Michi. Was he her brother or was he her boyfriend? Either way they would have had a very long relationship because Michi was prepared, with a knife under her pillow, indicating that she was used to this Boy and that he was abusing her if she had a weapon like that under her bed. That day, he had come at the wrong time. Michi stabbed his ass in order to protect Lynn and herself from him and they might have thought that he had died. Nay, he should be dead because he got stabbed in the damned chest!

Oh snap, by saying that he isn’t dead I just gave away an important plot point, didn’t I?

Anyway that scene was so very un-expected! I can’t believe that they allowed that to air on TV in China. I think that it is a YouTube only release because I just can’t see it happening! First of all the stabbing scene was gory also the make-out scenes were more extreme than what even I am used too! The only thing held back in this was nudity but even then the implications were there even though they didn’t go past under-garments.

Back to the present, Michi confronts Lynn about leaving her behind, lying to her. She had promised to stay with her or take with her when she went travelling to Iceland. I don’t know exactly how many years had passed but all through that time Michi says that she thought of their time together, even in her dreams. Lynn had said to her to forget all that because it was in the past and that was the reply Michi had given to her.

Lynn asks Michi if it would make her happy if they went to Iceland together. A question similar to this had been asked of Michi before in the past when Lynn was telling her of her dream of travelling the world. She had asked Michi what she thought of it, if she would like it to travel with Lynn. She had replied that she would be happy as long as she was with the one she loved. There was other dialogue that reflected the past conversations they had had and the lyrics too.

Michi then pulls out her phone and shows Lynn a message she had received, presumably from Lynn. It was telling Michi that she remembered the past and that she would come back for Michi. This was probably sent a long time back and it was what Michi was referring too when she accused of Lynn about lying to her since she never came back for Michi.

But then Lynn pulls out her phone and she too got the exact message that Michi had gotten! They find out that neither had sent that message and at this time we know of the secret the two held in their past. Suddenly you pay attention and realize that these two have been in that taxi for a long time. They should surely be on he plane already and it is also then that the two realize this as well.

They look out the windows and find that they were way out of the city. They try to stop the driver and as they pull at him, his buttons come undone and we see a scar on his chest where he was stabbed by Michi! The taxi stops and that is where the drama version ends just as things turn into horror territory.

The Music Video then picks up the slack by going into details this past that has just been seen in flashbacks during the Drama version. The lyrics cover both the present and the past but the scenes are of the past completely.

There is a lot of awesome scenes in that MV!! I think I collected a capture like, every three seconds or so! I can’t imagine the amount of footage they had to shoot to get those cuts and I wish they would put them together in a full movie! I am pretty sure that they have enough material.

Seriously dear Readers, this MV is simply magnificent! I am really forever in your debt kind Anon, for bringing ‘Abandoned’ to my attention. I am going to try and see if I can’t find a better quality version than the YouTube one. Yes, that is already God-tier quality right there but this MV deserves much more bitrate awesomeness that that.
