The Treacherous 간신
So, there I was doing my rounds of what I like to call ‘digging the internet for gold’ when I stumbled upon a certain Korean movie titled ‘The Treacherous’. Being desperate as I haven’t had any new yuri titles lately to watch, I grabbed it because the poster had two ladies (and a man) on it. Sure the first thing anyone would think of, what I thought of, was that this was definitely a harem. But then I thought of the title and I was like, maybe there is a twist in there somewhere! So I get it.
I was not ready!
I am going to say this right now – This movie is the weirdest Korean movie I have ever seen!

I have of course seen movies from Korea that were the other kind of weird. But this, this is the sexual weird kind of weird that I only know and expect from hard-core Japanese pron! I wasn’t expecting this from Korea! Seriously, I thought they were much reserved that this! I haven’t seen this level of scandalousness in their movies before.
There were no subs so I understood close to nothing in regards to the story but from what I saw, the movie was about a certain kingdom and its deranged ruler who collected girls all over the lands and used them to do some weird things! Actually it was more about art, he would draw art of them but they were always doing weird things and he was into some dark sexual stuff!
I can go as far as saying that he is the worst (as in best) villain of the year! But for some un-godly reason he actually survived the damn movie! How the fuck was that even possible!? He should have been dead and with the worst kind of death a human could ever have! I guess it just goes to show how nature really favors the fittest!

Anyway among the ladies, there was one that was at the top of the, u, class I guess! These girls were being trained for some heavy duty sexual stuff that will only make sense if you watch the movie yourselves because this movie…I tell you!
Then one day a rival (Dan-hee) appears at the school and having had favor from the King’s brother (at least I think he was King and they were brothers) she went head to head with Joong-Mae, the current No.1 and probable favorite to be the King’s woman, I think! Why any girl would want to be associated with that kind of man, I have no idea.
Just like all other rivals, Joong-Mae and Dan-hee butt heads in the beginning when Dan-hee up-stages Joong-Mae and is threatening to steal her thunder and her chance to being the King’s woman. It was a simple rivalry and Dan-hee and the King’s brother had this thing going on too that would have sent anyone else dropping this like a sack of potatoes. In fact the only reason I stayed was because as you know, I am broken and having not seen such a deranged movie from Korean, I was sticking this one out. It did strange things to me (keep this a secret, will ya)
My patience, was rewarded later on when it came to Dan-hee and Joong-mae’s turn to be the models for the next piece of art the King would be drawing. This time though things were a bit different. If I understood it right, the first woman to…you know, would be killed and so enter the greatest yuri sex scene you will ever seen in a Korean movie when Joong-mae and Dan-hee fight it out to make the other be the first to ‘release’.
Why am I being careful with words here? This is a mature blog! Damn it, Willmark was right, I am too polite. I need to let lose one of these days.
All I have to say about that scene is already said, it is the best yuri sex scene in a Korean movie I have ever seen! Hell, even the male spectators did nothing at all to down the pleasure of witnessing that scene! Sadly Joong-mae was the one that lost but only because Dan-hee had gotten help from that Dude who did something natural science things to her body to make her last otherwise Joong-mae put up a good fight. Joong-mae was my favourite and seeing the King about to fuckin be-head her made me a very sad puppy!
I looked at the timeline bar to see how much time we had left and finding that it was just past the middle mark, I felt a bit of relief but it wasn’t until Dan-hee embraced Joong-mae in a protective (and kind of possessive hug) that I felt a bit of hope! The King too had a soft spot for Dan-hee so when she pleaded for Joong-mae’s life, he did spare her but then the next time we see her, it was as if she was Dan-hee’s slave or something. Was that a condition? Not that Joong-mae was that against the arrangement. She seemed pretty settled in with the role but then again, she had grown close to Dan-hee.
In fact during that love-scene between the two, you could feel that Joong-mae wanted to make love to Dan-hee. It wasn’t about being forced or a life or death matter but rather she wanted to do it with Dan-hee. When Dan-hee would look aware Joong-mae would hold her face and would force her to make eye contact before kissing her. It was like she was trying to show her feelings she had for Dan-hee and eventually Dan-hee started enjoying being with Joong-mae and in fact would dominate from time to time. It wen from trying to survive to giving pleasure to the other and when Joong-mae was close, Dan-hee tried to make her hold on but Joong-mae was at her limits.
It was during that moment when Dan-hee takes a hold of Joong-mae’s wrist and see the scars on it that I think she really begins to care for Joong-mae. I have to say I was surprised just as much as Dan-hee probably was seeing those scars. Joong-mae didn’t seem like the wrist-cutter type. She looked to be at the top of her game and in any other story she would be the cause of another girl pandering suicide. Sadly we don’t find out the story behind that, or maybe they mention it and I totally missed it because I had no subs.

After that sex scene, the only other Dan-hee/Joong-mae moments were speculation. The plot took over after that with people trying to assassinate the King from every other corner including Dan-hee who was actually in cahoots wit the King’s brother. Before the climax, Joong-mae was Dan-hee’s servant/slave so who knows what they did during that kind of relationship! Maybe they were like that in public meanwhile in private they were much closer as we see after the climax when Dan-hee fails in her assassination attempt and has to be fake-killed to escape the prison (and a death sentence) and Joong-mae had to take care of her.
There was a lot of chances to show us the two being closer after the sex scene but all those minutes that followed were focused on the plot. They failed to kill the King, Dan-hee almost died and yet before she was even fully healed, she went right back in to finish the job. Only the King’s brother was already there but he couldn’t finish him off. Instead he stabbed him countless times then left the King in a pig sty filled with pig blood and pigs.
Why? Just kill the mofo!
He probably thought it would be enough to kill him and okay, they were brothers so I understand a bit but come on, siblings have killed their own blood for way less reasons. Sadly when the guards show up much later, the King is alive seemingly with enough energy left in him to…to…I am so not gonna say it. Even if this is a mature blog some things are just way out there. Watch the movie to find out what he was up to!
Meanwhile, Dan-hee shows u and once again get more injuries without getting a thing done. Apparently through the chaos she disappears for a while because the next time we see her, Joong-mae and the Brother are living out there lives in some village and gathered around a dance when Joong-mae catches sight of a cloaked figure. It is Joong-mae and when the Brother (who was giving the performance akin to the one that Dan-hee was giving when he first met her before she became one of the King’s to be) he finds her in the crowd and they just stare at Dan-hee like that. She waves to them, they smile and the movie ends.
Well, the credits fall bu there were extra scenes after wards. One of them was the one I mentioned where Joong-mae took care of an almost dead Dan-hee that we never got to see in the main movie. I wish there was subs so I understood what they were saying then.
Oh well, we don’t know what happened to the three after the movie ended but I can only think of the positive that she stayed with them from then on. If she wasn’t, she would not have made sure that they saw her. She would have been like a ghost and disappear as soon Joong-mae had caught a glance of that white cloaked person.
Anyway this movie is disturbing so watch it at the risk of your sanity, in case you are still green when it comes to mature content, especially Asian mature content!
