So, it’s been a while, a very long while in regards to Yukirin’s last N stage, but I just figured that I need to mention these two events now, especially after dear Maddie just went and translated the letters (and some of those messages from the N members).

If you are a fan I am pretty sure that you remember the spammed messages to Yukirin from the NMB members after her last stage, right? I have never seen so many messages to a member ever! Some even did triple posts like Akarin who posted two long ass posts on twitter and another on G+. Poor Maddie tried her best to translate what she could but it was just too much! I will try collecting all of the messages and include them after the jump so if you are interested, do check them out (though they will be in Japanese).

Then there are those letters from Riorin and Kitarie to Yukirin on her birthday. They were read during the stage and apparently there was a third one from Sashiharator but apparently she forgot that the letter was not for Yukirin’s ears only so it did not pass the rating. It had to be sent to Yukirin personally. Not gonna lie, I am pretty curious what that letter said. But seriously, a letter from Riorin! You just knew I was going to write about this!

AKARIN WINS!!!!

Let’s start with the N stage first seeing as we are already on the subject anyway. Akarin hands down won the letter battle! She was the dark horse in all of this because she was not among the members that I would have thought would be so taken with Yukirin. Sure I shipped her with Yukirin but it was more about that height comradely than anything. It was Uuka that I was expecting more from so I found myself a bit disappointed when she did not meet my expectations. She had been at the front of the Yukirin wagon before then so I was expecting something more!

Really, she was even beat by Riripon and Jo-chan! Speaking of these two, I have to confess that I found out a bit too late that Yukirin was Ririka’s Oshi. Meanwhile, there is apparently a history between Jo-chan and Yukirin that dates all the way back to Everyday Kashuusha which I only find out about during the last stage when every N member gets to say something to Yukirin.

Speaking of that, how awesome was that idea?! That is something Assan and Yuko-senpai did for their graduation concerts! Yukirin did the same thing, albeit downsized to one team but if she had time…What will her graduation be like? And when I think that it will be a double graduation of Mayuki, my brain just shuts down due to how incomprehensible that graduation will be.

Jo-chan totally stole speech time because I got to learn of that good bit of information! To think that these two were familiar with one another before and that they would have been performing on the same stage had Yukirin not been moved from NMB to NGT!! Why AKS, I was very looking forward to the new Team N with Jo-chan and Natsuko-chan! Sure we got NGT but still…And speaking of Natsuko, I can’t be the only one that noticed something afoot with her, right? Don’t know what I am talking about? Let me explain.

We know that every member got a hug from Yukirin after they gave their little speech, right? I implore you to watch all of them again and pay extra attention at the way Yukirin hugs them! Almost in all cases, it was the member that did the embracing while Yukirin just put her arms around them. But then came Natsuko and I had to pause, then replay that one just to make sure I wasn’t seeing things! Have you done the same? Have you seen the way Yukirin was holding Natsuko-chan!?!

I know I have a very wild imagination but surely it can’t be just me! That hug was out of this world! I don’t even think that Lovers are that good at embracing! Everything about it was just so grand! The way Natsuko had to hunch to reach Yukirin’s shoulders, the way her waist like, disappeared as it molded with Yukirin’s equally as small waist…

Good Lord!

Yeah, it goes without saying that I went away with a couple of ships and this one was one of them. I totally saw the first glimpse of the inner pedo in Yukirin with that moment! Sure she has shown it before with Moe-chan but that was kind of different at the time. Now, though I am not so sure. I will have to wait for the new Team B to start performing to confirm my suspicions. And when I think that there was a JoYuki when Jo was only like 12 at the time, well…

The second favorite of speeches was Jo’s. She was the one that hit me with the most feels and she was also the one that cried the most. Not knowing anything I was surprised when Yukirin called her name so casually before she had come to stand before Yukirin. The way she said her name was very reminiscent of how she says Rena’s so you can imagine. Jo was already crying before she had even said anything and that confused me. I thought it was all for show because to us this was their first stage performance (and sadly their last!) so they did not have a basis for these emotions. But then Yukirin dropped the secret and my heart broke. Knowing that we would never get the chance to see these two in the same stage ever again and wanting it to happen so much at the same time was a real killer!

The other memorable one was Riripon! At this time it hadn’t been long since I had found out that Riripon was actually a member of the Kashiwagi Family (Kashiwagi Children). This was also my very first time seeing her with that new short cut! She totally has the height and when she stood next to Yukirin, looking all embarrassed like she was some boy crushing on Yukirin, I was ready to throw in the towel and call it a day! I had already sat through Jo, Natsuko, Uuka and Akarin’s speeches so I was running on empty! So Riripon being all shy-shy and tsun-dere not wanting to hug Yukirin but then pumping a fist in the air when she does was just so…

And then the messages started to flood twitter and Google+ about how the members felt about Yukirin and how they would miss her and how much they love her (Akarin, was this your first love?) to accompany the first batch of messages showing the girls eating the snack gifts Yukirin had gotten them before the stage had began and this my dear Readers was a great day to be a Yukirinian.

I had a lot of doubts about the Kennin as so did every single person I knew let’s be honest here but I found myself thinking that it was a very necessary move. The NMB girls were so good to Yukirin and Yukirin learned a lot from them as well. We already talked about this but Yukirin’s recent mingle with the young ones was partly due to her Kennin with NMB where she learned to discard the AKB mentality of ‘every girl for herself’ and instead start thinking as a whole. All that goodness at the end of last year and beginning of this one with Yukirin and the young gens was because Yukirin started to approach them herself, to be there for them just like she saw how the NMB girls taught about two heads being better than one and to think less about what AKB means for her and more about what she means to AKB.

Though if it was true that she was thinking more about herself what does that make Mayuki?! In that case they would have been more like WMatsui or SayaMilky but we all know Mayuki are in a whole different plane of existence. And not just Mayuyu, though it was previously thought of as rumors that Yukirin was kind (some even thinking it was a façade) we know of the stories of how she had this effect on members when they finally meet her in person. So she already had this in her but just did not confront the members probably because she would give the negative impression getting close to members that she is supposed to be rivals with.

Speaking of which, I read somewhere something about Takamina touching on this subject in regards to Yuihan. I think it was on the lines of being worried about Yuihan giving proper leadership when she is so close to some members especially her Senpai (Are you talking about Yukirin Takamina? Are you jealous? Nah, I kid) and that it would make it hard for her to be strict with them. I have to say I was not fully on board with that. These Senpai she is talking about should be used to this, should have seen it already and would be expecting Yuihan to be strict with them when necessary. Even without that, there are different types of Leaderships, not all of them are iron-handed! Besides, I don’t think Yuihan would give favoritisms like that. Isn’t that one of the reasons why she chose her in the first place?

Anyway, I am getting really distracted here. Let’s get back to business and with that, let’s move onto the next topic of Yukirin’s B-Day.

Happy B-Day my Goddess!

Even though the performance was great in that we not only got to see the Draftees perform and the fact that we got some good SayaYuki moments, it was the letters that stole the show! I was kind of sad that Mayuyu was not here this time to give us that obligatory Mayuki goofiness we have come to expect during the Seintasai but the letters and Sayaya and Naanyan made up for the absence of Mayuyu!

Why is this? To me I don’t think we could have letters more important than from these two chosen people! Riorin is at the top when it comes to members that adore Yukirin! No one voices there emotions for Yukirin as clearly and strongly as she does. Okay, maybe Akarin but she too only does it on occasions unlike Riorin whose blog posts I would bet are 80% Yukirin content! Given the current time in Yukirin’s life, I think whoever chooses these things did a wonderful job to choose Riorin. I think we can all agree Yukirin needed something like that but while this would have been enough, we got another letter from Kitarie! This is also one that was very necessary at this time! I swear I want to hug the person that chose these members to write Yukirin.

There are very violent currents, nay, these are tsunamis! There are tsunamis in Yukirin World and since I see Riorin as the rep for the Kashiwagi Children, her letter was very necessary. On the other hand Kitarie reps the NGT48 project that Yukirin is also a part of and we also needed something from them! These choices were perfect and to hear what these girls had to say, no wonder Yukirin actually cried! And there was supposed to be a third letter from none other then Sashiko but apparently half of it was NSFW so it was banned. She sent it straight to Yukirin though so she still got it.

These letters were not just the typical birthday letters. They were much more important and I was so happy seeing what they had to say. Yukirin may have the heart of gold but even she sometimes needs some soul boost and I believe these two letters gave her enough to be closer to over-dose. There wasn’t a lot I did not already know in them like Yukirin and Kitarie’s relationship. Those two were at one point closer than Yukirin was with Sashiko and yet when you see them you wouldn’t think it because they don’t show it but theirs in that type of comfortable long-distance friendship. It is of course going to change now that they are both in NGT and as Kitarie said in the letter, they are already closer without even NGT having officially gotten members yet. Kitarie also talked of how Yukirin was more invested in NGT than even she the Captain was which I had already talked about.

What I did not know was Yukirin and Riorin’s first meeting! We learn about this in the letter and it turns out that it happened during the Umeda Team B. She was a KKS then and had just joined. She helped bring out the chairs for Yukirin’s unit for ShizuTai which I believe was with Minarun and Anna (SKE). She apparently brought out Yukirin’s chair and the two had made eye contact, the first one ever, when Yukirin smiled and thanked her. Understandably, she vividly remembered that moment (Just like Kumiko with a teary Reina, eh?)

Riorin put my hidden fears to rest when she affirmed that Yukirin was, is, and will always be the member she most admires! I totally saw how Yukirin was affected by this and I say this with a bit of shame since it feels like under-mining the importance of this but I am so looking forward to that reward that Yukirin will give to Riorin for this. I am also hoping that the other children feel the same way as Riorin does. I mean we can be pretty sure about Yuri and Sayaya since they have fan-girl’d about Yukirin in the last four months but the others are a bit too quiet.

And speaking of children, we got to see the 2^nd Gen Draftees perform the OP for this stage. They were just so cute! Just a reminder, two of them (Takahashi Kira and Nishikawa Rei) are part of the Kashiwagi Family and the other (Yamabe Ayu) is the Imouto-chan to Tokyo Girls’ Style’s Yamabe Miyu! Yeah, this was pre-destined! See that? Just being a fan of Yukirin gives you great fortune, well, if you are a member. Which makes me believe that Sayaya’s time is coming, you all just wait (well it already came – she already had her own radio show but you all know what I mean).

Oh yeah, Yukirin did celebrate Hinana’s B-day last week with her so there is her too.

Everything considered, I am glad to see something going right again. My world is in a very bad state and the only reason this did not seem so is because I am trying very hard to wipe them out of my mind. I am not sure if you all remember but I was really, really, skeptical at the beginning of the year when everything was just so perfect! Yukirin World was at its peak with everything seemingly going so perfectly for Yukirin and myself in turn and I remember saying that something was going to give to balance out that happiness later in the year.

Now you see!

If you know me then you are aware that Yukirin’s pain is only part of the whole big pile of crappy life that is the now! If you don’t know, just go to the previous post, it will give you an idea!

Seriously what is happening? Do I have some kind of hidden power I didn’t know about? Why am I always right about everything I speculate on these days?! I am telling you, you don’t want to be me right now!

Oh well, looking on the bright side, after I get through this, nothing, and I mean nothing is ever going to make me feel like how I am feeling right now! Yes, I am including Yukirin graduation in there if it does happen. Really, everyone has just been going on and on how she should just leave the group for a long while now so it will be more of a celebration than tears of sorrow.

My apologies, I did not mean to turn this post into this! So here are those letters from the girls that you can read through to erase these ill feelings I have planted within your hearts.

The Letters

To Kashiwagi-San, Happy Birthday. On Kashiwagi-san’s very important Birthday Stage and to read a letter from someone like me, I’m very humbled but I will put all my efforts and do my best to write this. I think the first time I met Kashiwagi-san was before the shuffle during a Umeda Team B stage. I was in charge of bringing the center chair for Kashiwagi-san’s unit song ” Namida ni Shizumu Taiyou “. I still remember vividly that quick encounter with Kashiwagi-san on the stage. I had just entered AKB at that time, but Kashiwagi-san looked me in the eye, smiled and greeted me, I remember I was super happy. Up till now, Kashiwagi-san has constantly helped me many times. When I was troubled or down, I would always listen to Kashiwagi-san’s songs, watch solo lives and I would feel better. I would also watch all the multi-angles of Kashiwagi-san’s performance for reference. Kashiwagi-san is really a wonderful person. Singing and dancing is perfect, can also act and is super friendly to juniors like me as well as giving us lots of advice during the concert huddle. She’s already such a perfect idol yet she is amazingly kind. I think Kashiwagi-san might be the nicest in all of AKB group. Kashiwagi-san appears not to have much interest in other people but is well loved by members is I think due to her kindness. Up till now and from now on, she is the senior I respect the most and is the best idol. If there is one weak point, it must be her being a rain girl (lol). During the concert at Aijinomoto Stadium, Kashiwagi-san was performing “1994-nen no raimei”, when the rain suddenly came down, I thought “Kashiwagi-san is amazing” so I also have some respect for her in that regards. Kashiwagi-san is a perfect idol yet is super friendly and nice and at times can exert such power even in the rain so I will continue to always respect her. When I found out that on Kashiwagi-san’s memorable big event, my letter will be read, I was surprised, happy and apologetic, all these feelings mixed together (lol) Thank you for listening to the end. To Yukirin, This is the first time I was given the opportunity to write a letter. I, who has kept a just right distance with Yukirin for a long time, will begin writing. Although Yukirin is a senior, “-san” was never added behind the name and I have always called you Yukirin directly. I often think it’s because Yukirin has such a kind and good natured personality. Up to now, I have often toyed with Yukirin. Yukirin is very kind. Although we have never really showed it, but we are extremely good friends. The kind of friends that simply go out together, plainly taking photos together. The sense of distance between us is comfortable, I love our relationship. But lately, the distance with Yukirin has gotten closer a bit. That’s cause I’m transferring to NGT and Yukirin will have a concurrenct position with NGT. During the announcement at Saitama Super Arena, I did not know that someone else besides me will be going to NGT. When Yukirin was announced to have a concurrent position, from the bottom of heart, I thought if it’s with Yukirin then I can do it. In truth, up till now, such as Draft and for all the various NGT related work we did together, Yukirin has perhaps been thinking about NGT more than I have. Frankly, I thought because Yukirin must be busy so in order not to burden Yukirin, I wanted to do as much as I can regarding NGT by myself and get Yukirin to help out a bit, but instead Yukirin has tremendously thought about NGT. So therefore, I think I will rely on you a lot so please take care of me. If it’s with Yukirin, I think we will create the best group. I’m so glad I get to create NGT with Yukirin. I sincerely think that. As someone of the same age, privately or for work, please treat me well. So from now on, please continue to be the good friends with your mom and watermelon loving Yukirin.
