Japan!

It is a fact that is known by anyone who knows Japan that there is no country that is weirder than Japan! To discuss and rate just how a given country is, you have to bring up Japan as the top standard! I have seen so many weird things from Japan that it boggles my mind how at the same time it is so reserved.

Be it pron, movies, anime, drama and even in real life, there is crazy stuff in every medium! But the craziest will always be in movies! This has been going on for a long time. You only have to look at those older anime (Fist of the North Star, Akira, and Mega Police in anime, the Tomie series in movies, etc). Japan has been releasing crazy stuff for ages.

And this applies to yuri too. There are old movies that have yuri and though not the main points, they still happened and they were real yuri scenes. I might blog about two examples sometime. Remember the short drama I blogged about a while ago that aired in 1992? Have we seen a drama since then that is bold enough to tackle yuri like that? Nope!

And this is the issue – Instead of getting less tight about things, Japan is instead getting tighter! The anime these days is all for primary schoolers. Yuri movies and shows are so scarce and even when we get one, it is always so tamed. It’s like the directors seems afraid to take the story where it should go! We always get half-assed jobs these days! It’s frankly, maddening!

It’s as if Japan is taking the opposite direction compared to the rest of the world when it comes to moral issues! I wouldn’t be surprised if they are heading in the 20^th Century Boys future!

But!

That being said, there always comes a Director or a project that reminds you of that spirit of Japan that got you into the culture in the first place! This mini-series titled ‘Real Onigokko Rising’ – a three episode cinematic series is such project!

‘Real Onigokko’ is a very famous series in Japan. It is kind of like the baby sister to ‘Battle Royale’ but instead of kids killing each other, they are instead killed by someone, usually some government people. ‘Real Onigokko’ usually takes place in a school where a class, or a certain blood type, or some crazy way the government comes up with to reduce population, are decimated, in the most horrific way!

There are five movies that I know of. I have watched four of those and I only kept one of them, the fourth one! Why? Well, not only does it have lovely Miki Honoka in it but she is a major character who actually survives! Best of all, the other survivor is a girl a year ahead of her and the two have these cutes moments through out the movie that just screamed for me to ship them!

This time, this next project in the franchise (Rising) takes a bit of diversion from the usual formula. I have only gotten a chance to watch the first two episodes (of three in total) and both of them have been very different from the Onigokko I know.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that there is a new Real Onigokko movie coming out and it is kind of relevant actually. First of all it has Mariko-sama in it and not only her but Mano Erina as well. There is another girl to close off the tri-leads but most of you don’t know her, yet! This movie is the usual Onigokko from the trailer I have seen.

These three episodes, that might actually be movies, short ones like Yuko’s ‘Teke Teke’, thought even shorter at around the 40min runtime on average, are very different from the Real Onigokko we all know. As I have said – I have watched the first two episodes so why am I skipping the first one seeing as this is about episode 2? Well, that is because the first one is irrelevant. There is no yuri and interestingly, it is the one closest to the Real Onigokko.

It is close but not the same. The main change being that the students were elementary this time around. Actually the second episode also had elementary cast. Anyway the first episode did a reversal in that instead of the kids being hunted, this time they did the hunting game! There was a murderer on the loose that killed one of their classmates and three boys once ran into him while they were playing in school during none-school day!

They twisted the story around and given the cast, it was of course pretty safe! Sure when you think of it deeply, the thought of those young children beating the crap out of the man with all kinds of weapons is really terrifying! But the episode did not give us any gory details. All of that was between the lines and thus only the already broken people would see the seeds planted within.

The first episode was also the shortest, pulling in at around the half an hour mark.

Interestingly, the second episode, my favorite out of the three, and the one that brought back the crazy I have been missing was also the longest out of the three! It was about 50mins long! Almost made it into movie time territory and the crazy thing is that the whole movie happened in a secluded location with only two characters for the most part (three at max). These characters were not even junior high students yet!!!

I have seen a ton of crazy stuff before from Japan but I found myself shocked once again with this second episode of Real Onigokko Rising! Looking at the cast I never had any thought that the story would progress as it did! I promise you now that if you have a sicker mind than mine (which I doubt because I am very proud of this sicko brain of mine!) you will find this story that much more disturbing! I wonder if I can speak real thoughts about this experience. Oh well, jump right ahead and let’s find out…

But before that, I wish to thank another great Reader pho for the shout out about this series. I would so have not seen it if you did not mention it to me. I no longer am able to use AsiaTorrents and we all know what happened to D-Addicts tracker. Basically I can no longer get to Asian Drama series as easily as I used to. Where to start?

Seriously, I have no idea where to start. I always have this problem when I watch a movie or show that is very memorable. This this SP episode will stay with me for some time to come! It hit me right about where AGAMD did! There was no BEST/HAPPY/GOOD END in sight but my God! I promise you now that once you watch this little episode, you will wish to take it to bed every night!

It was that good!

I guess the characters are the best place and any. I confess that I know nothing of either of these girls but Marika, our main girl is played by the currently 14 year old Someno Yura! Meanwhile OniOni is played by a slightly older 18 year old Hagiwara Minori! They were both portraying younger versions of their characters in the story.

From the moment the episode starts, I am already in love! Most of my favourite Japanese movies are the silent movies. When this special started and it had that mood, I knew I was keeping this one no matter what! The opening is also as confusing as hell but I have come to like that too in movies, especially if they are the silent type.

We are first introduced to Marika. Note that we do not learn her name until like half-way through the episode. This makes sense since she had no one to talk to and when someone showed up, they couldn’t talk. Marika looks so young and taking the third character into context lets us know that she was an elementary scholar. For some reason Marika is homeless. She hasn’t been homeless all her life in fact I believe the story begins with her becoming homeless.

Why do I think this? Well, when we see her she looks new to the place. Her clothes are still clean. She has a mobile that still has battery life which she breaks when it rings. As time passes, she gets dirtier, we see her checking her change all this did not escape my eye! These little details are everything!

We never learn the reason why she ran away from home. She was so angry when someone, probably her mother, called her that she threw her phone away and broke it in the process. Interesting how there were no police looking for her. Well, there was missing person flier but still, you would think that someone came over to this area to investigate. Then again she was pretty far from her home.

The first couple of days she is alone. She lives in some kind of abandoned building where only kids would tread to. One day she finds a doll that is half hidden in the floor. She rescues it, cleans it and starts playing with it, talking with it. It is a very weird doll too. It has a horn coming out of its head, think a unicorn horn!

Another day Marika wakes up and she doesn’t look so good! She is standing all wrong and looks to be in pain. I have a thought but I dismiss it because I didn’t believe that was what was happening due to her age! I was hit on the side of my head once again by Japan for my never-ending ignorance!

In her pain, Marika couldn’t even hold the Doll anymore. It slipped out of her hand and fell to the floor. I saw a familiar dark trail going down her leg and I was like, Noooo! But alas, the movie was that real! Marika was having her period and from the looks of things, this was her first one! But that is nature, it is what happens after that matters.

Marika’s blood landed right on the doll that had lay below her. The way the scene was filmed you just knew some shit was going to happen! I mean if you are still innocent and do know of the other Real Onigokko movies, you would dismiss the scene as just being realistic (too realistic) but I have seen things in my relationship with Japan and I just knew I was in for something weird!

To me it was already weird that they showed such a scene in the first place. Seeing the cast, and this being televised, I was sure it would be very tame seeing as the cast was in the characters were in the same age gap as the first episode and that was pretty light. The joke was on me! After I saw this moment I just knew things were going to escalate as the story progressed and so I prepared myself for all, be it BAD END or the usual weirdness.

I was no ready!

When Marika descends the stairs to go fetch the doll, she takes some time to clean herself and wipe the blood off her leg. When she turns to go pick up OniOni (the name she had given to the doll), instead of the doll there sits a naked girl in its place!

Yes my lovely Readers, they just went there!

I have seen some shit and even I had to pause the video and try to digest what I have just witnessed and what the hell it actually implies!

A girl that is not even a teen yet (well she is 14 in real life if that helps), has her first period (which is actually shown!!!) and that blood is used to give life to a doll!!!

I’m sorry, give me a moment! Just thinking about the whole thing hours later as I write this is putting me back into that state of disbelief! I am thinking some weird things right now! Believe me, you don’t want to know. Chances are anyway that you will not be as affected as I was watching this because I can assure you, compared to me you might as well be an Angel!

And this was just the tip of the Iceberg!

From here on things went into over-drive! Marika just had her first period! Periods are a sign of maturity and emotions are most cranky and over-dosed at the stage that Marika was in! And so it should not be a surprise when I tell you that a rabbit in heat was what Marika was for the rest of the story! That girl was horny as all hell! Might as well say hell because I am going there after using such words with characters that young but hey, I didn’t make the episode and it passed censorship to be shown on TV for crying out loud!

OniOni was like a child in a grown girl’s body. She was older than Marika but did not know a thing. She only made noises and acted like a real baby would which is right on the mark and how you would expect a doll that suddenly gained life to act like (yes, I am looking at you ‘Doll Master’!!)

This realism, despite the fantasy that is the fact that a Doll gained life, was one of the best parts of this episode for me. And yeah, OniOni still had her horn sticking out of her head. Just so you know, I have had some weird thoughts in regards to that horn, all thanks to the happenings later in the story.

This innocence of OniOni was what made things more disturbing when things started to go down because of horny Marika! They would be playing and having fun which would end up with them lying on the floor tangled and then Marika would start doing things like wrapping her legs around OniOni or smell her hair or nibble on her ears!!!

My God!!!

I tell you now the war going on within me, both body and mind was the hardest I have ever fought! My mind, my heart and the world’s view and what it taught me were clashing throughout this episode but in the end, as always yuri won! The power of yuri is like the dark side! Once you taste its power there is turning back! You can ty to fight it, delude yourself but it is always there, laying in wait until the very end when it rears its head like it was only playing you for a fool!

And so my mind was lost to the gutters! I took everything in as I got it and then added on some more in my mind! You did not want to be in my mind when I was watching this! But this is all pretty normal standard. We have seen young girls in movies have these feelings before so Marika crushing on OniOni is no big deal, even if her actions were questionable!

But really, who hasn’t had that feeling before? Have you played with someone before (to make things easier let’s say the opposite sex) and you got so carried away that you ended up in very seductive position? The temptation is so strong in that moment that you are compelled to do some crazy things that you have never even thought of before! I have been in this situation myself.

I think I was around 13 or 14 and our Housekeeper’s daughter snatched something from me in jest. She ran and I chased her around the house. We ended up in a bedroom with me pinning her against the end. In that moment I felt something I have never felt before. I think we both did because I remember us being really quite as we looked at each other. I of course got chicken feet and forcing my property out of her hand, I got off of her and left the room!

I still regret that stupid decision to this day!

Anyway the point is that those little things do happen. They might seem unreal to some but they are very real and I think that is the main thing that makes this episode so out of the norm. They kept everything real! This is why I don’t see it as unnatural for Marika to act the way she did in those situations, especially since OniOni was quite charming!

I said, Oh My! God!

But like I said, that is all normal! Or maybe I should say realistic! It almost makes you forget that OniOni was something out of a fantasy with her horn and the fact that she was previously a doll! I was reminded of this in a very graphical way!

As if she too was growing just like Marika had been, we get our first transformation, or growth spout as I want to think of it.

Spoiler: Blood is involved!

But this was not just another period! No, that is what humans do! OniOni was no human! So they had to come up with something different and dear friends…The scene that follows will never leave my brain! Not even a mind wipe would be enough to make me forget about the scene that followed!

OniOni started to cry out in pain! This was after the unsuccessful humping (on Marika’s part) because OniOni did not know what she was doing and thus didn’t do anything to progress the mating dance.

I am sorry but I am finding it hard to project my innocent self so there might be some heavy language in the following sentences!

Anyway OniOni is crying and she looks to be in a great deal of pain! The next thing we see is blood! She was bleeding from her head! More specifically the blood was coming out of the base of her horn and since she was bent over as she tried to squeeze the pain out of her head, the blood trickled down the horn and it looked like it was coming from the horn itself!

My mind should be cremated because the things I was thinking would make even serial killers back away in disgust! But then I would just look at them and take pity on them because if they were afraid of me then, they would be strapping themselves in the electric chair in the time that followed Marika’s course of action!

Marika takes a handkerchief and tries to wipe as OniOni’s head at the best of the horn! The very sight of the blotted blood, that looked like she had swiped away a piece of skin along with it, totally justified the pained scream that escaped OniOni’s lips! Marika had to do something though to take away the pain!

The started licking the blood off of the horn!

Yep, that is definitely my mind shuttering into tiny spackles of rainbow light! I couldn’t tell if I was disgusted or incredibly, incredibly so turned on! This was the work of lemon fan fiction! Forget about the actual thought! The way they filmed the act made it look 1000 times more erotic! I am pretty sure that it is not just because of my hell-bound mind! The scene was long too! The camera did not shy away from nothing! They showed you everything! You saw the saliva, actually it was more blood mixed in with saliva, sticking between Marika’s lips and the horn! This, this rawness was turned up to 11 the next time it happened but maybe that had to do with the fact that they were outside in daylight and thus saw a lot more detail.

Oh yes, this means what you are thinking! There were two licking scenes!!!!

I ma sorry, I need a moment! I need to rebalance my body heat. It seems a certain area is sucking up all the heat just by itself!

Ahem!

The next time the licking happened it gave off an image that OniOni felt the pain and her horn bled because of a huge spike in her emotions. The first time it was because Marika’s actions humping her and kissing her side of the face, to her ear, to her head might have stirred something in her. She might have pulled away because these feelings made her kind of uncomfortable, which were followed by her horn bleeding for the first time.

This second time, it was because of jealousy! Jealousy and hate are very blurred and hate is one powerful emotion, even Yoda knows it! I can hear you asking yourselves why OniOni was jealous?

Well, remember I mentioned that I deduced Marika to be an elementary because of a certain boy? Well, even before OniOni had come into the picture (as a person), Marika had been playing with OniOni (as a doll) on the rooftop when she heard the sound of shutters (camera) going off. She went to the age and there was a boy with a camera taking pictures. He turned in her direction and took one of her.

Without even concrete evidence at all, not even sure that he was actually a boy, I just knew he would be trouble! But the person did not show up again and then OniOni turned into a person and I kind of forgot about them! That was until the boy showed up in their hideout and after getting a horn to his arm (OniOni wasn’t pleased to see him even though he hadn’t done any damage yet) the two became close.

This is standard plot device and I was ready to kill something were this Boy to come between my girls who by the way had already kissed and are in all accounts, lovers! Well, they didn’t have sex but they were sleeping together so closely, every time either Marika or OniOni had their leg around the others’…

Oh I am truly sorry! I wanted to discuss the licking scenes together that I forgot that the kiss had happened between the two said scenes!

 

 

After maturing, you know, after the bleeding incident, OniOni I guess finally understood that Marika wanted to make magical babies with her because they actually get to kiss! And just like all the other scenes, the kiss was not just a quick cut or peck of the lips like any other movie that even dared have young girls like them kiss, would let it run for!

And the kiss was not emotionless like so many kisses I have seen in my life! The two looked right into each other’s eyes for a great many seconds. Anyone watching them knew would kiss and they took so long they made you want to do the ‘NOW KISS’ meme but in the end they leaned forward, slowly, the both of them!!! They both leaned forward! This was mutual, it wasn’t those ‘OMG what am I doing/What did I just do’ kind of one person leading type of kiss!

They both came in, eyes locked, no timid reactions on their faces and then their lips touched! They stayed that way for so long as the camera zoomed out that I did not even notice them separating until there was a head of space between them! And even then they did not show embarrassment!

The fact that the scene was all just one long cut without camera angles changing made this even that much more romantic and emotional! I tell you all, this was a budget special episode, not even a movie and yet I love every single thing about it down to the cinematography!

Someone is gonna die, aren’t they?

So, these two were already a couple!!! They were a couple before the Boy came into the picture and I just knew he was a bundle of trouble! I was proved right, once again, when his presence started to put a wedge between OniOni and Marika! Marika played less with OniOni and more with the Boy. After the first time, Marika has told OniOni not to hurt the Boy so that is all that spared him during these times where OniOni would just be to the side alone and watch as these two kids played by themselves.

But even though this, Marika still remembered OniOni. They still did the cute things they used to o one their own like Marika feeding OniOni even in the presence of the Boy! But the Boy was poison to their relationship! It was inevitable that he would pull them apart!

How was the question and I was ready to smash when that how almost turned out to be that Marika fell for the Boy! Another one of those days that were like so painful for OniOni where she wakes up and she is alone, she goes outside to the roof looking for Marika, once again afraid that Marika had left her and this time what she sees doesn’t affect only her! I was so ready to throw down too!

OniOni turns the corner and there sits Marika with the Boy. The two are looking at each other in a very angering way. The Boy is leaning in and he is about to kiss Marika! Something in OniOni snaps and I was so ready for the sight of her horn sticking out of the Boy’s chest but alas, she just fell to her knees with that exact pain from before. Her horn was bleeding again!

Marika wasted no time in running to her side and having dealt with the same exact situation before, she applied the same medicine and like before, it worked wonders!

But like I said, this time the detail was much better than the first time! The way Marika was licking that horn was more sexy than before and once again the cuts were long cuts without transitioning! Worse, or maybe better, the Boy was around watching this!!!

This movie people!

The act of Marika licking OniOni’s horn might not seem that bad just in words but seeing it in action is a whole different story! There are many different way to lick things but this was on the end of the perverted scale! Not in the sense that Marika was perverted, far from it! But if you have seen a single movie of pron, you will find yourself prisoner to your own thoughts while watching this!

 
 
 

 

 
 
 
RIP Boy!

Why do I always have to be right? I just wish that I could wrong sometimes you know. But that not was not this for the Boy does indeed end up bringing our lovely couple’s relationship to a gruesome end.

But the ending is one that will leave you scratching your head trying to figure out what the hell it means. You see, one day the boy, understandably so, warns the girl that she needs to return home. He shows her the missing person flier which is quite persuasive. He also uses the fact that they are close to suggest that he would not be back and that he would be waiting for OniOni outside.

And so a day comes when Marika sneaks out of bed, leaving behind an apparently sleeping OniOni one early morning. Little did she know that OniOni had been awake. When she is about to reach the door, OniOni stands in her way.

She doesn’t want Marika to leave and for the very first time she speaks and that word is Marika’s name. The feelings from her were so real that I am still finding reason why Marika had even entertained the thought of leaving her in the first place. I mean come on, OniOni was not a bad girl. She was not a monster like Tomie. Sure Marika might have been home sick but then why not take OniOni with her or at the very least explain to her that she had to go and check on her family and that she would be back? She could always have come back to visit OniOni if they couldn’t live together in Marika’s home.

No, she had to sneak out and thought it pains me to think it, I think she was leaving without saying a thing because she was feeling guilty.

But anyway, that is all maybe talk, if Marika had left. She is still there and OniOni is crying for her to stay. Out of desperation OniOni actually attacks Marika for the first time. OniOni does look shocked as well and though she approaches Marika again, I don’t think that she was planning on attacking her again. This is of course not what Marika would think. She grabs a metal pole nearby and when OniOni gets close, Marika rams the end of it into her neck!

Yeah, there was no way she could have survived that! I mean she is not human but still, that amount of blood that gushed out making this resemble finally, the horror series it is supposed to be, there was no way OniOni was coming out of this alive.

Of course the boy had to choose that moment to show up! Hey brat, I thought you wouldn’t be coming back here? What the hell are you then doing here? If you wanted to show up why did you not come earlier so you could be the one lying on the floor?!

But fear not! I can already see you saying ‘dropped’ but this did not mean that the boy and Marika would be living happily ever after! Remember this is the ending I said would leave you scratching your head! Well, the thing is that it wasn’t made clear who actually died! They flashed two scenes side by side in succession like how you would see reality and fantasy worlds tearing due to instability. In one scene it is as we saw – A bloody Marika is standing over a hollow kimono with OniOni back to doll form and Marika has transformed into an Oni with a horn sticking out of her head. In the other reality we see OniOni standing over a very dead Marika!

Which of these was the true reality?

Sure we see Oni Marika running after the boy as the ending scene shouting after him like a demented psycho which was actually quite interesting. OniOni did not act crazy and actually seemed more human but when Marika turned into an Oni, she was crazy as all hell!

So yeah, the ending left something to be desired but other than it, the rest of the episode was just so good! I am taking this one with me to the grave! In fact if there are DVDs released for this I am getting them, no questions asked! Rare filmography like this needs to be cherished before the world turns into a huge pile of censorship and boring white shirts!
