Sure, just go and make me feel like I have not watched this movie more than 7 times (I am not sure of the exact number but it’s more than 7 times!) and see if I care! Yes, they just went and titled this movie ‘WATASHI NO SHOUJO’ like the movie wasn’t gay enough now they went and made it even more gay with the title of all things!
Nope, I don’t care!
Dat Awesome Moment When Japanese Saves the Day!
I am telling you all, I was watching this Japanese Trailer of ‘A Girl At My Door’ and it hit me so hard I am still reeling! I can assure you that it was as if this was my first time being acquainted with this movie! The fact that the subtitles alone made me understand the movie more than the 7 or so times I have actually watched it without subs is nothing to sneeze at!
Now let me tell you all that I am no Japanese native speaker in fact I am not even familiar with all the Katakana and Hiragana characters but for some reason, for some magical reason that usually happens when I am watching yuri, the words just jumped out to me! I was suddenly thinking in Japanese! Watching this trailer with those subs hit me really hard because things made sense and made it seem like I was watching a trailer to a completely different movie.
I am stoked all over again for this movie thanks to Japan! Sadly the trailer wasn’t for a Bluray release but rather a cinema release…in May! That’s right, Japan is only getting to see this movie on May 1 in selected theatres which means that DVD/BDs are a long way off but at least I know now that BDs are coming!
Of course the movie is already out on DVD, with ENG subs in fact from YesAsia but to hell with that! I want my Super Quality delicious Doona and Ron-chan! Of course I might get that DVD for the extra content and the EN subs!
Seriously though, I love ‘A Girl At My Door’ hence forth to be known as ‘My Girl’ so much it’s simply ridiculous! I didn’t believe I still had this much provisional love left for this movie but what do you know…Any way, here is the trailer and if you will excuse me, I am off to re-watch it a couple of more times because, hello!!!!

I just finished like a twelve hour shift and came back from an hour drive sleepy as hell, but decided to check your blog before I closed my eyes and now–fakkk the sleep! I need to watch this right now. Thanks for sharing x D

I watched this last night and that ending ;A; THAT ENDING THOUGH! Every scene kept me awake and even afterwards–the feels were out of this world. I really wanted to just restart the movie and watch it over again lol. The japanese subs sure do make that difference though! I understand how you must have felt now lol.

I know! It’s almost 12 here and the movie is still three videos away behind Agent Carter, Riichan 24hr TV Adult room and and NMB’s Tour, which is 4 hours so I guess I am staying up tonight!
So anyway, was it good? I know I may have taken away the fun with all my fangirling but it is that good. God, I love this movie! I am about to put it ahead in the queue because, why not?

It was good, too good. The actresses were perfect and everything. Chief and her little Monster—Gawd! From the bath scene to when the lover showed up and it was leading up to Do-hee getting all jealous and clingy to the finale…*starts to slow clap* This has become one of my all time favorites, so queuing, always on queue wouldn’t be a bother at all. I love it too…the word fangirling doesn’t even come close to describing the emotions for a movie like this.

I forgot to mention, it was so hard trying to find subs for this. After downloading one trojan–I got the english subs and now…I need blu-ray as well lol.

The subs should be about because as I said the Korean Version DVD has subs too, though not perfect but it beat not having any by a mile.

Wooo! PotW is the last thing I thought you would ring up again! I have to re-watch it again too I guess. That was and still is my favourite foreign drama! I don’t remember much but I remember thinking that the ending was the best we could have gotten. I remember too that I was the only one who seemed to see the positivity of it. Hmm, maybe should write about it? After all, I have the not so great subs from the DVDs that I bought way back then…
