Best. Single. Evar!
Seriously, how could they miss an opportunity like this? How could they be filming this and not decide to go back to the drawing board and change Sakura, Haruppi and Mio into boy Princes and all the other girls into Princesses?! You’re losing your magic touch AKS, or whoever is in charge of HKT! Just a couple of years back they would have gone for the kill with an opportunity like this but alas.
Other than that though, I finally got what I had been secretly looking forward to ever since Love-tan joined Sasshi over at HKT. These two need to mingle more and it was great to see them together, if only for a few seconds, in this PV. The sight of Sasshi giving Love-tan a ride got me pretty good I confess. They looked like any other couple and I swear of Love-tan had had her arms around Sasshi’s waist I would have lost it! But then again this is as much as one can get from the Queen of Tsun-dere I guess.
Then there is that little change in formation where the four centres are concerned. I will not go on once again about Sakura and the Centre thing for that seems to be a waste of breath at this rate and I have experience with this scenario already thanks to my Goddess so I will stick to what we have.
The change came in the positions of Mio and meru. If we go by the 2nd single’s line-up, this means that Mio is the Centre-centre of the 3rd single while Meru was the Centre of the first two. Meru switching places with Mio means that she is now Sakura-tan’s partner where Mio was in the second single.
Yeah, that was the first positive that hit me after I learned that Sakura would still not be Centre even in the single that has her name in it! With that I was looking forward to the full PV of this 3rd single expecting some Sakumeeru goodness but sadly, with such high expectations came the grand disappointment.
I mean, the two squeezing each other in a hug and Sakura tangling herself in a fall with Meru is grin-inducing but I was hoping they would up the Twinkie promise of Melon Juice. Then again maybe someone up there is a Sakura/Mio shipper and they did not want to give ideas.
Any way the PV overall looks real nice, way nicer than AKB’s A-side PVs. Seriously, since BEGINNER all their PV quality has been lackster. UZA tried to get back to the norm but then it went back to lackster after that.
The music is…music. I can only like songs more than others but I can’t not like music. In regards to HKT, Melon Juice is at the top then Skip then this, only because Sakura sounds like a remix of Melon Juice, or all HKT singles really. I guess this is what we are going to be hearing from the following singles as well.
As for the PV itself, kind of confusing when it looks like NakoMiku are the centre during the none dance scenes but when we get to the dance line-up, they are almost invisible in the middle they are placed.
Sakura steals all my attention and makes my heart speed up in rhythm every time she appears on screen as if she were the Centre of this thing yo. Kind of makes you want to forget that she isn’t actually which just shows how powerful she is.
I am most looking forward to that KIV PV though. I have my doubts of Sakura being centre even there especially given the recent developments with Mio looking like she is overtaking Meru now. Seriously though, why did it have to happen now? Them making her the new Centre now, or a step ahead of the double Centre with Meru, means that we can’t complain if she turns out to be the Centre of the Team KIV song. And the little fact of them making Sakura the Vice Cap of Team KIV doesn’t help. They will be using that as firepower to fight back asking what else we want if they made Sakura the Vice Cap and what now, we want her to be the Centre as well?
Damn those sneaky bastards >.<
