Yes, I just sat down yesterday and watched the whole show from episode 1 to the very last in one go! Suffice to say, I am actually feeling the Christmas spirit now! I got a lot of things from these lovely 12 episodes that I just can’t even ask for another present! I feel complete!
If this was a movie, it would get a 95 from critics because damn, from that intro episode (ep01 doesn’t really count) of Danso to the very last climatic ending of the Yuri Valhalla, perfect I say, perfect!
By the end of my marathon, the show had managed to attract me to more Oshis, found more ships and also filled the void that was left behind by AKB’s shows (Their shows are really boring these days!)!
Starting with the Oshis, I was already into Non and Akaririn but they managed to get some more love out of me. Kaotan was also marvellous in this show! Actually, I felt like she was a supporting MC , nay, she might have been a supporting MC! I really don’t see what’s so bad about her! To me there are girls that look…less cute than her but I am not normal so…
Any way the new girls that made it afresh on my attention list are THE Shibata Aya and Kitagawa Ryouha. Despite the fact that she really sucked, I mean really, really suck, I could not help but fall for this Ryouha girl! I am willing to give her the benefit of a doubt and hope that’s she is hiding something beneath all this blandness! For all we know it might just be a cloak. We have seen many a cloak come undone so it is just a matter of time until the best is unleashed and when it does get free, I will be there to welcome it with open love!
I don’t know, I just have a thing for none-linear girls. Which would explain why I found Aya so fascinating and totally got hooked onto her as soon as I heard she was harbouring a darkness beneath that pure surface! Then I actually got to witness this darkness with my own eyes, in this show, and the deal was sealed! Akaririn also went and showed me some of her blackness and then my theory about the line-up for Yukirin no Gutter during the Dome Tour was proved right! Now I find myself wondering if we will see a 4P version with the addition of Aya or even a 5P ver. with NMB’s AKARIN!

In your face AKBINGO! In ur face – if you think we are going to go down on our knees and beg for you to bring back the Danso segment, the joke is on thee buddy! After what feels like an eternity, we get another glimpse of that heavenly taste that is Danso and this time, it comes from our lovely Nagoya Sisters! But before we get any further, can I just say one thing?
JUNA BOY!!!!!!
Seeing all those caps and gifs on tumblr was awesome indeed but actually seeing the episode is a whole different experience people, believe you me! I thought I was gonna die from chocking on my lewd mouth waters! Seriously, I would go down on my knees and praise Yasusu instead if he one day up and decided that from that day forth, Jurina to be a boy and I wouldn’t even care if he decided Juna-kun be the Centre of every single from hence forth either!
She was almost perfect! And the blonde was actually a good choice, nay, the better choice. Somehow black doesn’t do it for her! Then again, I find black is for the ‘cute boys’ like Rena or Mayuyu or in this case, Ryouha instead of the boy boys like Jurina or Sae. Sayanee is a special case but really, that girl is like Supergirl or something!
There is one point that goes against Juna boy in my eyes, which ironically is what makes her great. She is just too much of a boy! I like my Danso to have that bit of girl in them which is why I actually preferred Ryouha’s Danso here! It’s just like I preferred Rena-boy to Sae-man in the very first Danso and Doc Watanabe as well. I don’t know, I just like my boys, well, a bit girly!
Damn, I am so gay!
Yeah, the dark hair, glasses and innocence of Ryoha-boy got her a 98 percenter from me. Just a tiny bit of character would have gotten her a perfect 9000 but Jurina takes the cup on this one. I can’t deny that Juna-boy was just too perfect! Churi comes in last not because she was a bad Danso, not even close, but there was just that something missing. I don’t what though, I mean the hair colour is okay for her, the character was a-go so I just don’t know…
This was just perfect! I don’t know of any other way to reel in viewers than what this show did here! They even kept up the record with introduction of different flavours like cosplaying, moe segments and some serious lewd ones like slimy slippery wrestling and much more! But what won the cake…

Just my oppinion here, but SKE48’s Ebi Friday was the best show I’ve EVER SEEN and not only of the 48G (a shame the show only happened after Kumi’s graduation… ~the feels~)
It has/had great potention for a long run series… Okubo-P did an excelent job with SKE, i don’t believe anyother would have better results than her, not even close to the same!
If I were a rich ass here i’d totally fund a long run series of the show!
I didn’t know Shibata at all before EbiFri, and after a few episodes she totally made me interested, same goes for Kaotan and most of them actually… (but i still don’t know what’s so great about Kitagawa)
Everyone became more appealing to me in this show… and now i’m looking foward to more SKE shows…
SKE pushed my love for AKB to a corner and took 1st place for themselves…

I knew the danso segment will get to you. I just knew it! And I have to agree with you on that one. Juna-boy or Jun-kun as I call her/him was a complete boy. I was actually bored when she was in the middle. It was a flirty bastard who wanted some meet for the night. Nothing special… Too bad Churi got washed to the sidelines fast. Someone has to do the dishes too, I guess… (:P)
I don’t know what is so good about this Ryouha girl. She’s boring as f*ck. I thought that this danso will make her move or something but all she got was the super hiped reaction from the other members. And the fact that she didn’t chance at all during this 12 episodes whatsoever… Rocking that name she has I thought she would be a bit *stronger character wise. *wink, wink*
Just a little side note here that you mentioned the cosplaying and such… I don’t know what that 5P meant but when Yuria was wearing a CA cosplay I was waiting for the famous line “excuse me” from NMB48 AKARIN! Sigh…
But the finals were the best! Everyone was picking on Kaotan, yet she stood strong till the end! She even had a big UGLY sign on her but she kept going! Actually I’m part of the KPG or Kaotan Protection Group. Yeah, I’m the only member though. XD She is the most useful (?) member as she has a web show and she provides backstage info and video footage regularly. Seriously, she’s a gold mine for any fan!
I don’t know if I will forgive Masanya though… Dropping my SKE48 oshimen like that… Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Not good man, not good!
But there was one member who surprised most of us. It was the SKE’s moyashi character, Kuso Center: MATSUI RENA de gozaimasu! She failed at every strength test but when it really mattered, she stood strong. Looks like it was all about the motivation after all. If you have a prize in your hands, you will do anything not to lose it! You could see it in her eyes. She was like: “I WILL NOT LET YOU GO!” XD That was some dedication right there! 😀
But my hero(ine) was Minarun. I lost faith in her in the past year or so but after she got transferred into SKE48 she is slowly regaining my trust and love. Slowly but gradually!

Frankly, I wasn’t expecting much and was only praying to get through everything quickly so I could get to the last episode but man, was I in for a ride!
But what do you mean ‘Churi was put to the side?’ Any way I found it funny how Jun-kun sat right next to Rena yet she opted for Non instead of her! I guess Non retains her name as the Rens-slayer! First taking on Gekikara and now she managed to snatch Jurina away too! Rena might say all she wants about not wanting Jurina but I could totally feel the envy when Jun-kun was taken by Non! Heh
Yeah, Ryouha sucked major ass, throughout the whole show, even when she was given A-B-C instructions she couldn’t do nothing! Which really is strange. Nobody is that sucky! I am inclined to think that she is just characterising. I mean no one can be that bland! I will have to watch this KKS show that’s on that she is also in to see if it is the same there. But really, she has a lot of things going for her like that name! Then she has the looks that I first when I saw caps of her from the mentioned KKS, I thought she was that famous actress Yoshitaka Yuriko, or a relative of hers. But man, does she suck! Yet, I couldn’t help but fall for her none the less. She new anyway so I hope she grows a personality soon. She has the the time after all.
By 5P, was referring to like, you know, 3P as in threesome so 5P is a five-awesome orgy or something. But yeah, somehow AKARIN claimed the stewardess name for herself! Not even fisher Milky beat her at that! And that Nao though! That girl sure is something. But for some reason my heart is hesitant in falling all over her. And I believe in my heart. But, that doesn’t mean that I can’t ship her as one of the Top three ships from SKE now with Aya-chan after this! They were simply wonderful. For me, these two stole that last episode!
Well, it might come as a shock to you but I am one of the KPG too. Her BBQ show is simply marvellous. But what actually hooked me to her in the first place is the award-worthy work she did on Kin-chan! My 2nd Fav SKE48 ship indeed! Now if only she can do the same for Ryouha, then she will be renamed Professor of Human Sciences!
Come on don’t be too hard on poor Masaya, she is probably the weakest SKE girl as it is. In fact I think she did pretty well to last that long. Though I don’t know about the dropping. It felt like it was on purpose. But then again, Yukko didn’t seem that displeased so….
Yeah, Rena was just…WOW. You know, I am starting to question her actually. Out of the blue she is displaying incredible skills in fitness that she shouldn’t have. I nearly died, I remember, when I saw her do that first 180! And now it seems she is doing it every other day! Rena and a 180!! Madness! And now after that, she is displaying incredible strength ala this show! HOW! That isn’t something that can happen over an instant! Athletes train their life to get to the point of world record breaking yet all it takes for Rena to out do herself is a loli at stake! Bullcrap! You know, I had my suspicions actually way back during the Gekikara days! Gekikara isn’t a character for the weak and the fact that she pulled her off so perfectly is also question inducing! But then again, the way that Ryouha was crushing her bewbs in Rena’s face and clinging to her so tightly, a miracle might have happened! Which is another reason to question that Ryouha girl, it seems to me like she knew exactly what she was doing there! Hmmm….
Ah Minarun, if she too had a loli at hand and making the same face as Rena, I would have questioned SKE48’s pedo-levels! LOL But on a different note, I don’t know if it’s just me but when I see her, or when I did Rie, in SKE, I had a kind of awe feeling towards them. They seemed a bit, glower than the others, I guess that’s what the difference is from an AKB member to a sister group member!

It’s good to be back mann! Actually I was here in the whole time, I just not commented. It’s because of the types of posts you did about movies, TV series and anime I do not have any particular interest in.
Churi got brushed aside because Jun-kun just owned everyone. Didn’t let anyone get a chance at that old hag…
Btw Jun really likes cute young girls who are sweet and has no interest in spicy stuff anymore. 😛 But who can blame her/him, really. Jun has a two whole group to choose from.
Ryouha is a real ponkotsu character. I think I don’t have to emphasize it how I feel about that. (*see Paruru before she had any characteristics…) If she remains the silent beauty then I will completely ignore her for the rest of the time. That’s about that.
You don’t have to hesitate falling for Dina. Look how I ended up. After that burning “Desire” she showed in MR3 it was inevitable for me. I knew I will fall for her, I just didn’t know when. I’ve fallen in that trap she laid for me. Have you seen the AKB48 SHOW! version of Utsukushii Inazuma? That was the final blow that basically broke my pride. But I was resisting so hard and got so far. In the end however it didn’t really matter…
It’s good to see another person who doesn’t hate Kaotan’s guts. She is way better than that other person I won’t name. And after that Kinchan raping she did in the past I think I understand why you like her that much. 😛
And I will go hard on Masanya! It was about my SKE48 oshimen! And Andrea didn’t look too displeased? She even hit that skinny eating machine! What’s that if not disappointment? 😀
Rena does have hidden potential. She is kind of similar to me character vise. Well, kind of… but yeah… No wonder I have issues with her. But it looks like the winds will change in the future. I’m looking forward towards 17th of January. I’m not going to say any more about her until I’ve seen and heard everything. If I can trust this hunch I have then I think “something is about to happen that has not happened for an age…”

I was just bored and was looking for some SKE stuff when I came across your wonderful blog post about EbiFri. To think you watched all the episodes in one run, kudos!
I totally agree with you on bowing down to Jurina’s Danso. She made that horrid wig look amazing. Even the old lady said that if there was sake around, she might “do it” with Jurina. And now, this is a nuance in language where what she said was “ikeru” (I think? My memory of that episode is fuzzy save for Jun-kun) which is more along the lines of “go at it.” But seriously, she’s a lewd lady so who knows what she really meant?
And Rena too! For the sake of a loli, she brought out one of the coolest looks I have seen from her yet. Those eyes fully brought out how resolute she was to make sure that her loli won’t be the one to fall. Ryoha choose well…
But I do have two regrets.
One, JuiRena were both people who were doing the hugging. If only Jurina were in Rena’s arms or vice versa…my wmatsui feels!
Two, Rena didn’t Danso. I won’t wish for her to reenact the awesome archer character from last time but it’s been a while…and I want to see Jurina look lovestruck over Ren-kun again!

That Black Butler cosplay is still the best thing evar!

It was not just very disappointing for me to not have wmatsui moments. It was excruciatingly disappointing. The past year or so, ever since KataFinally, it seems that these two just aren’t together anymore. And I know that they were never quite “together” but in the past, when they were on shows or events and such, management would always make it so that they were sitting next to each other. At least I could rely on the management to forcefully slap them together, and hope, as delusional as it is, that they come to realize that they are perfect for each other. But EbiFri’s focal point was more to shine lights on the other members, for fans to discover that there is more to SKE than JuriRena and, in consequence, the two were purposefully separated during the show. No interactions whatsoever even when they happen to sit next to each other.
And it’s sooo painful. D:
Rena was on full fangirling-pedo mode when Ryoha came out! And then everyone was fangirling when Jurina walked out with her playboy “swagger.” xD
Jurina wasn’t so hot for Ren-kun? What in the world!? She was definitely lying when she said she wasn’t moved! She was looking at the Captain of the Archery club as if her heart had been shot by Cupid himself.
