It’s here and just like I hoped Hiyama-sensei (Toda Erika) and Shiraishi-sensei (Aragaki Yui) are closer than they were in season one.
Sometime has passed since the Special as Hiyama is back on duty and Kuroda is no where to be seen.
Oh yeah, Kuroda-sensei was the senior Doctor in charge of the Fight Doctor trainees whom include Hiyama, Shiraishi, Fujikawa and Aizawa. He had his arm cut off after an accident in which he saved Shiraishi-sensei. It re-attached though but he had lost his golden touch, so to speak, so it might have been hard to get back into surgery but who knows, maybe he is in therapy and will be back soon. Great thing too ’cause the new guy is creeping me out !
Not that I will be paying him any attention.
This time around Doctor Heli is called in on a collision course between a cycle and a motorbike. Aizawa is the one who goes out with the creepy new Doc who is replacing Kuroda. Everything is dandy until…wait. Is that a kid’s shoe I see? But there are no kids’ bodies around. Hmm!
While they board the Heli, that is when Aizawa (Yamapi) spots the body of the missing kid. He is lying face down all the way in the canal. He makes haste to the rescue but this is gonna be difficult. it’s winter and that water is gotta be freezing.
The kid wasn’t on the menu so things have to change. They transport the mother first then they come back for the kid who is in constant CPR. When they get back to the hospital, tough calls have are made to save him. While Hiyama and new Doc work on the mother, the other three fellows save the kid in a HAX way.
The kid is saved but not out of the waters yet. He would have to be transferred to another hospital to increase his chances of survival – which is done at the end and is escorted by Hiyama-sensei.
But the real reason I am watching this is to see some Toda/Gakki chemistry.
We start with a daily assembly and Oh look! Shiraishi is late.
Toda is already taken in by the moe presence. She can’t resist looking over. Oi Toda, pay attention. Your choice of marriage (Mitsui-sensei) is giving a speech.
Let me clarify. In the Special that was released way back in 2009, Hiyama was telling Shiraishi how her father is setting her up with marriage meetings much to her distaste. There hence she gives her opinion that if marriage was about money, then Mitsui-sensei would be the best choice.
This is Mitsui-sensei.
Get my drift!
Too bad she has kids…whose father is that dreaded new Doc.
Any who, all is not roses though as the heart surgery that Hiyama received in the Special (The whole special was about her) and we can see her pain clearly.
Not just us. Shiraishi-sensei does as well.
Dude, they are like on the same wavelength. She looked over when her Hiyama-sense tingled with pain!
Oh the loveliness!
To make matters worse, Hiyama-sensei’s record took a hit while she was out of commission. there she is at the bottom while everyone else is over Hundred.
Please don’t push yourself.
The pain is excruciating. Who the fuck performed the surgery?!! They did it wrong damn it! it wasn’t you Aizawa, was it? You weren’t trying to eliminate the competition while you could, right?
Nyahaha, just kidding. it was that girl with the glasses back in the special that did it. She was befriended by Hiyama too. Where is she anyway? She hasn’t appeared in this episode. Surely there aren’t that many patients for heart surgery, right?!
Get back here soon. The more girls the merrier.
Back to the pain. it is so much that Hiyama has to run back to the locker room to relax and do more research.
Shiraishi walks into the locker room and finds Hiyama panting from the pain!
Hiyama is startled. She denies that she isn’t in pain, after Shiraishi asked her if it hurt. ~awww
Hiyama makes haste for the exit but in the panic her reasearch breaks out from her locker.
She was searching about the heart using her symptoms are key words. Shiraishi reads them and is really worried about her girl.
And so, during lunch she decides to confront Hiyama about it. Hiyama is avoiding the subject. “I’m busy. Let’s hurry up and eat.” – She says.
Shiraishi isn’t giving up that easily though!
“If you say anymore about this, I will kill you!”
Trouble in paradise already?!!
Really Shiraishi-sensei, that was your bad. you couldn’t talk to her about this in private?!
But fear not. Hiyama is actually a good girl. Shiraishi-sensei knows it too. In fact, she said so in the special.
“She is actually a good Doctor.” – She said.
Shiraishi sees Hiyama off as she transports the kid to another hospital.
They are still okay, ladies and gentelmen.
Next, the two have an important surgery together but one is avoiding another.
Bring on the goodness I say.
